I carry a Smith and Wesson Border Guard 2 with me here in Milwaukee about 60% of the time. I've had a couple of 'attempted' jumps that I've made it through without any sort of weapon on me, but the security of even a knife makes things a bit better.

I think you did it right, as others have said, I would call the local police non-emergency line and just fill them in. Not a whole lot more you can do at this point.

If it works as well as it looks (sticking to multiple objects) then I think that's a great alternative to just leaving a firearm sitting on a table by the bed or having to pull open a drawer to find your gun.
