Custom 1911 grips. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I'm hoping one of you fine Gents here could help me find a grip maker. I want to have a set of 1911 grips made for my Father. I'm not looking for anything particularly extravagant, but the wood is very special and of VERY limited quantity, so it's important to get it right. If you know of anyone...

    Winchester 94 value

Thanks for the feedback guys! I think the elevator was removed for zero as the rifle is dead nuts at about 100 yards. I was given that rifle from my father when I was way too small to shoot it, but never knew the age of it. Had no idea that it was that old. It shoots great though. I used it...

    Winchester 94 value

I have an old (not sure how old) model 94 that I am NOT selling but curious as to the year of manufacture and value. It's chambered in 32 WS and has a half octagon barrel and in good condition, not perfect but great shape for an old brush gun. Anyone have any guesses? Thanks, Ed

    Pig hunting on Oahu

They really do cause a lot of damage. Not surprising that those guys in Big Island are all hunters. It's country out there around Hilo and Ka'u. Great people. I used to play music with an ukulele player from Pahala and spent some time out there. So many people hunt and fish. Kinda reminded me of...

    Pig hunting on Oahu

Thanks for all of the replies! 1858, great info. Exactly what I was looking for! The firearm laws in Hawai'i I am pretty familiar with, it's the d.f.g laws that are unclear. If you have ever tried to navigate a Hawaii.gov site you know what I'm talking about. I'm looking forward to hunting some...

    Pig hunting on Oahu

Thanks for the links. I have been through all of these. I guess I should be more specific. I'm looking for the method of take on Oahu, as it varies from island to island. The second link you provided has good information, but the link about method of take is dead. Thanks, Ed

    Pig hunting on Oahu

I'm moving to Oahu this fall, trying to figure out the hunting laws. Hawai'i.gov is unfruitful so far. Wondering if there any HI. Pig hunters out there that can help. I know that the license is $10 and the bag is one a day. Can I use a rifle? Can I use an AR platform? I already have the CA...

Anyone worked with 125gr. Nosler BT in .308 win?

This load shoots! This is 7 shots @ 100 yards. I pulled one while talking to someone. Measured .54 center to center minus the obviously pulled shot. Settled on 48.0 gr of varget, WLR primers in Hornady match cases.

Anyone worked with 125gr. Nosler BT in .308 win?

@Savage99, I'll most likely be hunting chucks around Orleans, Lamoille, and Orange county's. Stopping off in S.C. As well. We'll see how they do on hogs too! @another Kelly, DAMN! 500 out of a BLK! Guess I never really thought about using a BLK past 50. Thanks for the info fellas! I'm looking...

Anyone worked with 125gr. Nosler BT in .308 win?

I'm headed home back to Vermont in a few weeks. I started working up a 125gr. Bt load for Chucks. My initial work up produced mostly .5 moa groups! I was wondering if any of you had shot these much and how much range you were getting out of them. I'm guessing around 400 yards. Thoughts?

My .308 178gr. Hornady bthp load opened up...

Welp, new lot, shot about the same. Old ones, sub moa. Guess I'll just treat these like they're a completely different bullet.

My .308 178gr. Hornady bthp load opened up...

About to go out. Interesting enough...the new lot of bullets are .01" longer than the old ones. When I went to seat the older bullets with my die set for a col of 2.803 on the new lot, the col came out to 2.787 instead of 2.803. Which prompted some measuring. I think I'll be calling Hornady on...

My .308 178gr. Hornady bthp load opened up...

Well, got to the range yesterday. Shot from prone off my bipod, my group shrunk, not nearly enough though. I also brought some of my 165gr. interlock btsp loads out. This load shot ten shot groups at .8" at 100 yards. I think it's safe to say that the scope and rings are holding zero just fine...

My .308 178gr. Hornady bthp load opened up...

@blarby thanks for the input! Have not yet gotten back out. I will try from prone again as it is the only other thing besides the lot of bullets that have changed (that I know of). I'm working of the same 8lb. Jug of varget, same primers and as far as fire formed cases go, I full length size my...

My .308 178gr. Hornady bthp load opened up...

Thanks for the replies. I have work today, but I will be checking my base and rings later. @GS I didn't have the opportunity to shoot these loads side by side as I was unable to acquire these bullets for quite some time. Looking back through my previous data, it just doesn't match up. The rifle...
