What are the hot C&R items right now?

I have had luck ordering from Wideners and SAMCO as well.... I am a bit biased since they are both in my hone state, but I have never done bad dealing with SOG or AIM. As far as what to get, CZ-82 would be high on the list, P1 if you can find one, Swedish Mausers in general, Swiss K11 or K31...

    sks

I have a couple of those Chinese Type 56 surplus models on the market now.... They come rough but clean up decent enough for a shooter / hog rifle.... many of them were actually made from Ruskie machine run by Ruskies.... the SKS is a good design with a few flaws but worthy of its reputation of...

My Cap & Ball Revolver Collection

I bought one of the 1851 Navys from Cabelas this past summer when they had the sale that included the starter kit... Its been solid out of the box.. Guess I am lucky like that... I have been shooting using 15 grains or so just to be safe without any issues so far.... Next purchase will be a self...

    On Fighting Shotguns....

Both of these are 870s... top one is a former Ohio State Highway Patrol trade in I bought and stuck the Knoxx recoil stock to see if it works... It does. The other is a "simple" express 870 I bought used at my LGS for $150.... spent more than that to have the worn finish redone with duracoat...

The snubbie revolver, by Ed Lovette

Been packing a LCR for o over a year now with no complaints... Yeah it's somewhat challenging to train with... And you need to train.... But I see plenty of guys at the range shooting semis at 7 yards that look like they are firing buckshot.... You gotta put in The range time regardless of what...

    What about the .380?

Biggest advantage to the. 380 is that it can be jammed into very small guns relative to it's caliber. In some countries it is the largest round civilians can own. On its own it is a adequate round and you will read over and over that it's the bare minimum for a defensive round... But that's...

    New Glock Model 42

Personally I have Bern asking for the single stack 9 for a while and was expecting it at last SHOT but they trilled out the 30s instead..... at this'd point I could care less sad the moment had passed on this one.... Handled a friend XDS 45 last week and was like wow... Same logic that said why...

Tell me about this Enfield rife

BTW... Paid way under 300 for the top 2 and the No4 Mk 2 at the bottom for 400 but it included a 1914 pattern bayonet that was worth a good 125 on its own....

C&R holders, is it worth having?

After your license expires the guns do become personal collection items and your bound book is turned over to the ATF. Personally I enjoy the option having a C&R afford me. I like old wood rifles to begin with and enjoy the history and research that go along with each purchase. Not everything...

    m95m mauser

To remove the bolt ensure the weapon is unloaded push the trigger forward (opposite of firing it) and it should come out. The old surplus rifles cached pages have some better instructions
