If your gun is not an in-line,
I’d start by removing the nipple and trickling BLACK powder into the barrel. Replacing the nipple and firing the gun.
If that doesn’t work then a blast of compressed air may shoot the ball and charge out. There are CO2 devices sold that will also work.
Last resort...
Dad was a hunter and fisherman. I got a 22 on my 5th birthday, got it taken away the same year for shooting holes in the barn roof. Got my first deer with my 25-20 at 12 years.
Go to your sporting goods store and buy one of these. Drop it down the barrel and you will see if there is damage to the bore.
