What's the oddest thing you've used for gun lube. ,

I used some skin oil off my nose one time. I had bought a pair of S&W 6904s off Gunbroker and got them right before a trip to the range so took them along. Did a function check on them and while they were clean they were dry, dry, dry. Tried to run a magazine through the first one and it...

Lee Auto Drum Powder Measure Problem - Short or No Dumps

I did remove the disconnector and I did reinstall the screw in the correct place after removing the disconnector. Here are three pics, one showing the drum in the up position, one showing how far the drum rotates when the case is fully inserted into the charging die (I rechecked and reset...

Lee Auto Drum Powder Measure Problem - Short or No Dumps

I've got two of the new Lee Auto drum powder measures........one is on a set of .38 dies and seems to be working fine. The second is on a set of 44 mag dies, installed on a 4 hole Lee Classic Cast turret press. I installed it after setting up the dies and removed the disconnector since I...

    Firearm Prices Going Lower

This is it......if there was something like 250 million guns in the country when Obama took office and there's been another 100 put into the market place, and I believe while the number of household with guns has risen it hasn't risen dramatically......so the market is saturated.

How much $ to load 44mag

What rjbmjb said.......I remember going to the range after Sandy Hook and arriving the same time as a couple of friends. They were done is something like 15 minutes and when I asked them where they were going they both said with the high price and scarcity of ammo they could only afford to...

    Ar Pistol as "truck gun"

If I remember correctly one of the arguments for AR pistols is that in certain states it allows a person with a CCW to carry a loaded "pistol" that can arguable be used as a carbine.

Short girl problems: any ladies here that carry sp101?

According to my wife (who is 5'2"...or so she claims, I think she is a liar despite what her drivers licenses says) you are not short.....but merely height challenged.

Best handgun for defense against mass shooting?

The best gun in a gun fight is the gun you have. A gun doesn't do you any good if when you need it...it's home in the safe. Carrying cancealed everyday in all weather and different dress and social situations can take an enormous amount of discipline. A Taurus 738 in your pocket is better than a...

How much $ to load 44mag

I just started reloading for it too......about $40 for a set of dies, $9 for another turret, $40 for brass (200 ea). Someone gave me a couple of hundred 240g SWC but I think don't think are very much......everything else I had on hand and I used 10g of Unique over a standard large pistol primer.

Powder for 125g Plated RNFP .38 Reloads or Shooting Low

Update: I think it's not the load but the GP100. Made up another 100 rounds of this load and took it to the range this morning and tried it out of Speed Six, a 3" Taurus .357, a 3" Rossi .357, and 4" S&W Mod 19 and it was fine out of all of them.........guess I need to check that GP100 for...

In 2008 I got into a deal through a friend of a friend on a lot of reloading stuff.....this fellows brother had died a few years before and I got a pickup truck load of stuff. In the mix were about a half a dozen small plastic bullet boxes, these were filled brim with small pistol primers. Why...

Powder for 125g Plated RNFP .38 Reloads or Shooting Low

American Reloading had plated 158g RNFP .38 bullets on sale for about .04 a couple of months ago so I ordered 1000 while I was ordering some 45 and 9mm.......but when the order showed up they had substituted 125g RNFP .38 because they were out of 158g....but they did add 20% more.....so I didn't...

Where are reloading components available (Not a Discussion Thread)

Where's the primers? I see prices for powder has come way down and availability seems to be way better in the past month and bullets are available.........but while primers seems to be available the prices still seem to be kind of up there. I think Cabele's had them on sale a couple of months...

Best Bang for the Buck for Available Pistol Powders

I've been reloading pistol using mainly a bunch of Salut (Russian Unique from Hi-Tech that I got back in the day when surplus powder was cheap) plus an 8 lb container of Bullsye I picked up as part of a package deal. Both those are getting kind of low and I wanted to stock up on something that...
