I checked out sierras site, and couldnt find any info on 110gn using 5744. The only published data for 5744 I can find anywhere is for a 125gn. Thats why im thinking I can probably just cram as much powder in the case as possible and see how it does. Max load for the 125gn was 19.4gn of 5744. Im...
Trying to load up some 110g varmageddon in 300 aac.
I have some 5744 but there is only published data for 125g with 5744. Max load being 19.4g
Im wondering if I loaded 110g bullet with 20g of 5744 to a oal of 2.060 I should be fine right? Seems like there should be no issue. Just want to get...
Extensive with glocks and firearms in general. I was shooting 115g 147g stock ammo and 124g hand loads. On the hand loads I tried just about everything.
So I wanted to get to the bottom of this problem so I slapped on the factory glock sights, zeroed the rear perfectly and shot groups at several different distances. These results are all with the gun sandbagged as good as you can get it. Once again human error should be almost 0.
At 20yds I am...
I just got my warren tactical night sights(.215 front sight) for my gen4 g17. What a disappointment! Shooting 7.5" high at 25yds from a rest. That means I need a .270 front sight to zero out the gun. I don't even think warren makes a .270 so I emailed them (dawson precision)to get them to fix...
I got my calipers and micrometer from sears (craftsman). Not the best quality but when mine broke I just took them into the store and they told me to grab a new set off the shelf.
They make digital or dial. I like digital personally.
In my glock 17 (stock) it started functioning reliably at 4.8g at 1.135 with plated. I have shot a few 100 now at 5.2 (990fps) and have seen no signs of pressure. I know recoil doesn't = pressure but at 5.2g, recoil feels about 30% less than wwb to me.
Sorry I should have linked it the first time.
6.3g from the imr handbook. http://www.imrpowder.com/pdf/IMR_handgun.pdf
If you use the imr "reloading center" which takes you to the hodgdon website you get a max of 4.9g
The handbook is published by imr. If you call them or use the reloading...
Totally new to reloading but I need some help here!
I am trying to find the most accurate/consistant load for several bullets. I use plated 124g rn and am currently loading them to 5.2g and oal of 1.135 With so so accuracy.
I am now trying to find a good charge for 124g precision delta...
