I just got my warren tactical night sights(.215 front sight) for my gen4 g17. What a disappointment! Shooting 7.5" high at 25yds from a rest. That means I need a .270 front sight to zero out the gun. I don't even think warren makes a .270 so I emailed them (dawson precision)to get them to fix the problem and they said they would do a 50% exchange? Exchange for what? Do they make a .270 or are the going to try and send me a .245 and call it good?

So I wanted to get to the bottom of this problem so I slapped on the factory glock sights, zeroed the rear perfectly and shot groups at several different distances. These results are all with the gun sandbagged as good as you can get it. Once again human error should be almost 0.

At 20yds I am hitting 5.25" high and 4" left
At 17yds I'm 2.75"high and 2" left
At 10yds I'm 2" high and .75" left

Are these numbers within glocks acceptable Range?
Do you think they would replace the barrel if I sent it in?
I just hate to try and correct this with sights because to me it's outside acceptable ranges.
Anyone have any thoughts of ideas on the subject? Or has anyone experienced the same thing?

Perhaps you could try again with a Ransom Rest to remove the human error factor. I wouldn't bash the sites, or Glock just yet.

Good luck

How much experience do you have with glocks or handguns in general?
You may want to let someone else shoot it and see what they're results are.

What ammo are you using?
Many times a heavier bullet will shoot higher than a lighter one. Sometimes with fixed sight guns I try to tailor the ammo/load to the gun and it's sights.

Extensive with glocks and firearms in general. I was shooting 115g 147g stock ammo and 124g hand loads. On the hand loads I tried just about everything.

If your confident in your shooting and the POI is unacceptable to you, then I think you've answered your own question.

You will need to contact Glock and have them give you their opinion.
Let us know what they say.

Dawson has a guarantee on their sights. They will make a front sight that will zero the pistol if their sight sets do not zero. Not sure about WT.
I have a set of Warren Tactical on a Glock 19. They are the black rear and FO front. Shoots to POA.
