I too wanted a companion piece for my Henry Big Boy Steel Carbine, and when Ruger came out with this model it was perfect for me. No adjustable sights though, so have you looked at these models?

Thanks Driftwood Johnson. Very educational. I try to learn something every day. After reading your post I have met my goal for today and I can go back to sleep now. :)
Comparing Federal's 100grn .327 FM offering to .38 +P offerings by Buffalo Bore and Underwood is not even close to an apples to apples comparison. A more even comparison would be Buffalo Bore's .327 FM cartridge in 130 gr HC Keith to their .38 +P in 158 grn HC Keith. When you compare both...
I have a few guns chambered in .327 including one Henry rifle. I am a big fan of the cartridge to the point it is my primary carry gun and for carrying in the woods.
I just got a Pelican 1720. It has wheels so getting it through an airport to a car would be a piece of cake. Don't know about the others though.
Edit to add:
At least some of the SK8s have wheels too.
Never tried the .32 ACP offering but I have shot several other calibers from them, including .327 FM, .45 LC, .44 Mag, .380 ACP and .458 SOCOM. If it's anything like their .380 ACP +P then absolutely buy the .32 ACP +P safe in the knowledge that it will hit harder than almost any other .32 ACP...
The LCR in .327 is the one I grab most often for CCW. Hydra Shoks are what I carry most.
Lipsey's site shows 2-6inch GP100s with adjustable sights in .327FM
Yeah that's pretty ridiculous. Hopefully someone will come along soon who can help regarding deer hunting with the .327FM. There was a recent thread where a guy was asking about deer hunting with one off the coast of GA but as I recall, he wanted a long barrel revolver.
Buffalo Bore makes a...
Like many folks on the board I have several sets of ear protection, from inexpensive to expensive, passive and electronic. I wanted to get my 7 seven year old son the best ear protection I could find so I dug around and came up with the Peltor X5 earmuffs. I have to say, I'm more impressed...
I'm in agreement. The Single Seven to me is the perfect size for .327 Federal. It's a great combination of capacity, compact size and recoil absorption.
The 3-inch SP101 was a handful with the 100 grain AE stuff until I switched to a Hogue grip. With the new grip, .327 FM is a very...
