    Frankford Arsenal X-10

I don't have a return rod for my Dillon Measure but it looks like it might fit in the same hole the frankford arsenal one uses. If not, an adaptor shouldn't be too hard to rig up. As for powder sloshing, I have seen zero with 24gr of h110 in 44mag cases, thats the only load that I have ran so...

    Frankford Arsenal X-10

Yes you can, just not the included powder measure. I'm gonna try my Dillon measure here soon since it doesn't leak h110.

    Frankford Arsenal X-10

It is only because of the reset rod that runs down though a bushing on the frame. It forces the powder drum to come back down if it gets stuck.

    Frankford Arsenal X-10

I don't see any reason my hornady measure wont work, I also have a dillon measure that should work.

    Frankford Arsenal X-10

My bench it 40" tall. The height is spot on for the x10 when standing, the only height issue is that the case feeder is too tall for me to look into or reach into and clear jams easily. Its does jam as the case feeder plate seems to be geared more for smaller cases like 9 and 40 but I only have...

    Frankford Arsenal X-10

It is definitely a solid piece, shipping was actually free from midway despite weighing 96 pounds. I managed to get it set up tonight and loaded a couple rounds of 44. The rcbs dies are almost too short. Here's a pic where it sits next to my Hornady.

    Frankford Arsenal X-10

So, I have fallen for the marketing and ordered the new X-10 10 station progressive press from the guys at Frankford Arsenal. I snapped a few pics while ripping it out of the box that I will attach. Setting it up has been more tedious than other presses with many moving parts but nothing that I...

    Looking for a press.

I'm back to re-revive this thread with an update. This past year has be pretty crazy for me between buying a house and traveling around the country for work. But I now have my bench set up and I did get a press. After talking to a coworker about a press he brought in an old rcbs Jr that was...

    Looking for a press.

Ahh I didn't realize that, guess ive never seen one up close. I have a loadmaster and it is a cast aluminum frame so i just kinda made an assumption.

    Looking for a press.

I had the impression that the Lee stuff wasn't nearly as strong since its aluminum right?

    Looking for a press.

Hey all, I'm considering buying a press specifically for forming brass. As my hobby grows I've been acquiring more odd and obsolete calibers that I need to form brass for. My turret press works but I would like a sturdy single stage press that can handle forming large brass without worrying...

    Need an EDC flashlight.

I also vouch for the olights. I carry a s1r mini baton ii. 1000 lumen the size if your thumb. These olights are pretty cutting edge as far as flashlights go. Quality is on par with the big names. magnetic usb charger is really slick too. I was hesitant on the rechargeable light route but its...

Bringing a handgun to a rifle fight.

I would imagine the BG in these situations would be in the middle of an intense adrenalin rush. This could be a huge detriment if you don't understand how your body reacts to it. Having been in a few life or death situations myself (not self defence related) i know that basic functions become...

Optimal 5.56 AR Pistol Barrel Length

What i have concluded is that anything shorter than 10" is more suited for the duty of "range toy" due to the loss of velocity and the intense concussion. 9mm and 300 blackout are a better choice for the shorties. I have a couple ar pistols set up in 5.56 with 10.5" barrels and flash can devices...

What kind of guns do the bad guys carry?

Gunny said a couple pages ago the street price of stolen guns was well under the legal retail of the guns. $250 for a ready to go glock or $500+ for a kit that requires assembly and testing with some tools and at least a little patience. These things are seldom found in low level gang thugs.

    Loading for 45acp revolver

I had loaded up some 45 acp cases with 240gr hbwc bullets from matts bullets. The idea was that the base would expand into the oversized bore of my cut Webley MK VI. They seemed to work alright. Im pretty sure i used trailboss and if i had to guess the velocity was in the 600-700 range.
