Not many specifics in your post other than the 1 inch thick. What size box or boxes do you have in mind? I’m not sure how big 25k primers are. Plywood? Solid wood? Finished or unfinished? Where are you located and do you have a price range in mind?
PM me if you like, I’ve made plenty of...
I had the same thoughts several years ago. In the late 1980’s I was looking for a 1911 but in those days decent (I.e. accurate) models were expensive. So I “settled” for the 686, what could be a better shooter than that? I never lost the desire for a 1911 and about 10+/- years ago went...
I’m looking for a quick overview of the legal requirements to purchase a suppressor from a private individual, does anyone have some input? In particular, a private FTF sale instead of buying new from a dealer who would file all of the necessary paperwork.
(disclaimer- yes I know that I...
I think the NC purchasing process has been beaten to death in this post. Anything else to say about the op’s questions ? I frequently visit the area and would love to know some places to shoot, public ranges? Decent private ranges?
thanks
I wanted a skinner peep sight on the receiver cover for my Henry golden boy 22lr. Skinner will drill and tap the cover if you remove it and send it in for ~$50, includes return shipping. I didn’t want to remove and replace the cover myself and asked a local gunsmith how much he would charge for...
I have a 112 and really like it. Classic Buck knife heft, look and feel. Crisp, clean action and so far holds a nice edge. Couple of minor things - 1) kinda heavy for pocket carry but I’m ok with that, It came with a nice heavy leather sheath but it was very stiff out of the box. 2) one switch...
I have to agree with the OP but on the other hand the “those people on the other side (i.e. the ones that don’t agree with me) are really idiots/evil/stupid… take your pick” attitude is a pretty common component of this forum. If I could count the gloating posts when somebody on “the other...
Go to Home Depot or something like that and buy a big cheap piece of osb board, put it up with a post on your property behind his target. In short order you’ll have bullet hole damage on your property to show to the sheriff.
Most customers don’t need you to go on and on telling them everything that you know. Don’t lecture them, ask questions, in fact most of what you say should be a question to help them refine their choice or make a decision.
Purpose-Defensive/protection? range toy? collectible? CW carry...
Lots of good information here. I also try to load low-mid range target loads to make them a little more comfortable to shoot. But yeah, they’re pretty dirty and leave a good amount of powder unburnt. I’m still somewhat a beginner and use primarily Bullseye power.
So what would be some powders...
Lots of good information, thank you all.
I tried out a handful and they worked just fine. In fact, the sound hitting the backboard behind the target was actually louder than the shot.
Seem to remember buying some of these because that’s all there was during the last shortage. Didn’t cycle my pistol but shot ok, eased the withdrawal a bit. Now again I see them available when little else is on the shelves.
Anybody have any opinions on these? They say don’t use in a rifle...
