IME Piettas tend to have the arbor correctly fitted with the bolt often being more of an issue. Ubertis are typically the reverse of that. It'll have a short arbor.

Like tommygunn said, depending on the distance you shoot, you can often see marks or holes on a target from the wad.

Sadly, somebody that didn't know better might've taken their advice and loaded that up and shot it. I live in SWFL and that particular store quit selling real BP about 6 months ago. I think BPS in general has quit selling it.

If you already have them, see if they shave a ring of lead. If not, give them a soft tap with a mallet, you just need a few thousandths, then shoot em and get the .454's.
