i have never trimmed new brass but thats not to say that you shouldnt do it. i just keep a dail caliper out and frequently check OAL. i have never had any trouble but if you do check each case, you will insure consistency.

i have never cleaned the first primer pocket in handgun brass. after it go's thru the tumbler, its good enough for me. dont waste your time with thoughts of cleaning primer pockets.
