Unless you are going to be doing a lot of work seated I would suggest a SOB holster. Less likely to be in the way, very comfortable when you are doing a lot of work with your hands.
This reminds me of when I first started with 308. You seem to be going in the right direction, but I think you should look for a accuracy node between 46.5 and 47 by using .1 grains. Keep at it, lots of fun range time ahead of you. Good luck
Has anyone ever seen any testing on primers for being sensitive to temperature? I know powders are but can an extreme in temperature change primers effectiveness
I have 2 5inch 1911s and 1 6inch 1911, the extra 50 fps does not really matter I just want to see if I can get there and maybe I can do it more economically. 13 grains of AA#9 isn't a lot but there might be better out there for the job

In the 1920s a custom gun shop made a round called the 300 Hoffman magnum, basically a 300 h&h with a 20 degree shoulder. I want to lessen the taper on that round and neck it up to 338
I have a black powder only 10 ga and I want to use it for turkey this spring, does anyone have a load that would get me started in the right direction. Thanks for the help
