Rifle optics: a blue collar spending perspective for cost / benefit

I pick what I want based on features or performance, not price, and Made in USA where possible (or, said differently, less China). With that approach things tend to be on the more expensive end of the spectrum. I've never been disappointented and I know that I'm fortunate.

    Muzzleloader Optics

Gotcha. So, in your opinion, modern muzzle loaders should only be legal in rifle season? Thanks, CraigC.

    Muzzleloader Optics

Of course there are exceptions or caveats state by state. Some allow optics, some don't, seasons for types of muzzle loaders can be different, etc. About the only thing that is not clear to me is I've seen regulations stating that the muzzle loader can't be loadable from the breach. Is there...

    Muzzleloader Optics

Except an inline is still a muzzle loader. A rifle is not a bow. Modern has nothing to do with. It's a legal thing.

    Muzzleloader Optics

LOL, I put a Steiner T6Xi 1-6 on my 45-70. I may get the same scope for a possible muzzle loader purchase. My safe is like a box of chocolates.

    muzzle brakes

For young shooters they are a great learning tool. And helps stay on target better/spot shots.

Completed a 9mm PCC! Now to aim it?

I have a Smith and Wesson M&P FPC which I'm probably putting an Aimpoint Micro H2 on. Though I like the Eotech EXPS2 it seems that maybe it'll be a little too bulky. I'm going to borrow a friend's to try it out. Doubtful, but maybe I'll change my mind.

    45/70 worth it?

Depends on how you define "worth it". My first lever was a Browning BLR 308 Win. I use it where bottleneck cartridges are allowed. Said differently, it can't be used where only straight wall cartridges are allowed. So, I have a Marlin 1895 Trapper 45-70. Therefore it's "worth it" to me...

    Local Cabela’s

I don't buy if I can't get no hazmat and free shipping. No, I can't always buy because I have to wait for those deals to come along but people shopping in stores can't always buy either due to stock it seems. Good point. I don't buy small quantities of anything - in large part because of how I...

    Holstered in the safe

Yes. I have holstered pistols in my safe for years with no issue. I don't know the humidity in my air conditioned, Texas home. I don't have a dehumidifier rod thingy or those desiccant pouches.

Are shorter barrels capable of being more accurate than long ones?

It's not the size, it's the motion. Oh, sorry, wrong forum.

    Noise & Muzzle Blast: 308 Win w/ 20¨ Barrel

I have a Browning BLR 308 Win - 20" barrel. I don't notice the sound or pressure at the range or hunting. Don't tell my mom but I don't wear ear protection when hunting. Yes, I understand there is still damage despite not noticing anything.

    Tattoo Ideas Needed!!

Similarly, a very built full blooded Italian friend of mine has the Italian flag across his chest. Under the flag reads "Try to f*** with this flag"... except it's not censored.
