Gamo swarm maxxim and DY 5170 two new loves

Forgot one other thing, reading the Gamo maxxim reviews, was confused about how to read the "pellets left" on the cylinder. load it... it says 10 shots, shoot... it says 9 shots. Read the cylinder after you shoot the pellet. It'll tell you how many shots are left.

Gamo swarm maxxim and DY 5170 two new loves

one thing i forgot, that 5170 pistol's trigger. It's got a mile and a half travel, gets some getting used to. But it seems consistent.

Gamo swarm maxxim and DY 5170 two new loves

Been fooling around some new stuff 4 me. CO2, found the DY 5170, what a blast for a plinker, and powerful enough for varmints. If I could shoot a pistol. ;) With a fresh CO2 canister (12GR) 14 rounds (.177 BBs )clear through a steel can. (18ft down the hallway) Hard to believe. It's got a 21...

I see threads looking for first time varmint guns- my choice Hatsan AT 44

I've got the 25 but it's an air hog, only 9 shot mag. My go to gun is the 22, 10 shot mag and 5 clips before it goes off reg. both are tack drivers at short range.

peep sight for old eyes....home made

Got a new project, the Diana 34 is on hold, worked great for 10 shots, then on of the screws popped out into the either. Glued a fender washer on my CO2 carbine, needed a longer elevation screw but it's the ticket for shooting down the hallway.

peep sight for old eyes....home made

I just got an $18 peep of fleabay - got two apertures. I'll need an adapter but it might work might need another rail if an adapter is to tall. Being lazy by nature, I can afford this one.

    HAHA 25 cal. fly swatter

Testing my new Hatsan AT 44 in 25 cal. PCP. Put on a Hawke 3X7 scope Had it dialed in 4 or 5 shots. It's accurate even w/o a regulator. 10 yards On my second 9 rd clip two flies were taunting me..... the other one ran away;)

    Fly guts

LOL this cracks me up. I shot my first fly finally. Had to go look at the target. What ever that brown streak is, he was busy eating. I put a new scope on an old Diana 34 I've had for years, still shoots good. But that was luck.

Anyone have the scoop on Daisy's 1884 BB gun?

One last note, fixed the spring BB loader with a spacer to increase spring rate. There are new springs available. I bought a used left hand receiver cover, it wasn't direct fit and a darker color, so order new old stock, which matched color. They both must be newer models, were sturdier built...

Anyone have the scoop on Daisy's 1884 BB gun?

Ophelia's a shooter! Didn't crony it yet, feels about like a Chinese RR. The compression tube repair and the proper seal made a huge diff. The BB feed is a bit baulky, got new coming for it. Not much good with open sights, this one rattles around. I might scope it, might try a lazier sight.It's...

Anyone have the scoop on Daisy's 1884 BB gun?

Spent most of the day, but got the crease out. After a few attempts I had to reduce the diameter of the plug, but it drove home good. It might be the case I stretched the compression chamber a bit, but the seal should follow it OK-I THINK? It's been a week or so I've been thinking about this...

Anyone have the scoop on Daisy's 1884 BB gun?

1-2-18 Hopefully this will be a how it’s done not an example of don’t do this. My idea is to drive a tapered plug across the damage and pop it out. First I tried to raise the low spot with heat, didn’t work, but I needed to temper the metal to relieve any stress. I was surprised how resilient...
