A no brainer for me. If you can legally carry, carry! When ever I question whether or not to carry I quickly remind myself that when seconds count the cops are only minutes away!
Story is incomplete. In a TV interview, a cop stated a witness to the robbery gave chase, guns were drawn, shots were fired. Therefore, if during the chase the robber drew and pointed or fired at the witness, it is self defense. IMHO
Was wondering if anyone has a coupon they're not using. The wife turned mine into confetti while I was out hunting. (she loves shreading things!) I would like to order a new climber and $20 is $20!
Thanks!
No grouse today. Only 1 flush (that's 2 guys and 2 dogs)...no shot. Was very windy...
Was wondering what a fair price for XM193BL ammo would be? It's the American Eagle 100 round boxes and I was told it's going to go on sale for about $30 per box. Fair price?
What could I expect if I had to change from Win Ballistic Silvertips 150 grn with Win Ballistic Silvertips 168 grn? Do you think point of impact would change significantly from say 50-200 yards? Would be last resort situation. Kinda low on 150's. Deer hunting opens next Sat. And I won't switch...
Hi all,
Picked up a used BLR 308 and it doesn't eject the casings very far, maybe a couple feet. Was told that is normal because of the type of bolt and that it can be made to eject more forcibly at the expense of harder lever action. Was the guy blowing smoke? Should I have it checked out...
Just picked up a 1996 Browning BLR with a Leupold vari x II 2x7 scope. Couple questions for those in the know. Is it a decent scope worth leaving on the rifle? Bought the rifle for a back-up for whitetail hunting. Now the important question. Would you invest $130-$140 to have the Alumina Flip...
I agree with rondog. As far as all are concerned, they are now your guns. Go get them, but make sure you transport them legally. If they need to be shipped, they have to go through an ffl.
Gotta get your hands on them to see which feels best to you. I sold a real nice High Power .40 and kept a Beretta 92 simply because the HP just didn't feel right. I've since moved on to 1911, but will never sell the 92 because it fits me well.
The problem with reviews is that the reviewers generally have access to a lot more scopes than are available for inspection to the average guy at the local sporting goods store. I based my opinion on comparison to scopes behind the counter. I could not tell a significant difference until I...
The gold will blend in better in the woods!
For you BLR shooters, is it normal for it not to eject the shells very far? I know they are completely different animals, but I seem to remember my Marlin throwing them half way across the county!
