Thanks for the replies. CTD and Galco show 3" barrels where the Defender is 2". I have a Simply Rugged Holster for my Redhawk and it is a nice holster but it feels real large to me, I would like something smaller if I can find it. JR

I quess I'm in the minority here, I like the 511 smaller size with the N batteries. Radio shack and Walmart here have 2 pak n batteries for $3.79-3.99 with 2012 expiration dates. I've only used 1 set of batteries in the last 3 years. JR

I wondered if the low cheek rest works, sounds like it does. If the shell holders aretoo tight can they be sanded out some to make a proper fit? JR
