I have a Lee hand press and use the Lee ram prime. Not the fastest combo for priming but it works very well. I understand your situation and not wanting to spend any further $, but save yourself the headache and splurge $11.99 (plus tax and shipping.)

+ or - .003" is my acceptability range. I'm just using inexpensive equipment and components, also not measuring anything other than COAL. If I were to use expensive competition dies, presses, and components while using measurement tools for things like ogive and such, I'd want tighter numbers...
Doesn’t seem prudent to dispose of excess brass by way of scrapping it. Are those 5 gallon buckets suddenly in your way or you no longer have the space to continue storing them?
My indoor range time has been reduced, not because of my not having enough ammo, but when having to wear a mask my eye protection gets fogged up in the first couple minutes and I can't see what I'm shooting at! I'm only able to visit the outdoor ranges on the weekend.
Ouch, but considering the source I'm not at all surprised. It's the ammo from the employees who went home and looked through all their range bags, bench drawers, and under the couch cushions to see what they could find to bring in and sell for mucho dinero.
I'm using two -electric plug in to the wall outlet to recharge units- in my safe for the last three years and all is well. I also have a digital temp/humidity meter.
It's all relative... if you're someone who has purchased ammo in years past at rock bottom prices you'd scoff at paying current prices, but if you're someone just joining the firearms community in the year 2020 you'd gladly pay what the ammo market commands to have what you want/need to go...
Did you buy that ammo from a store or from someone's personal stash? The thousands of factory store bought 5.56 ammo I've purchased if it had primer sealer they all had primer sealer. I've also run across some ammo that looked they had a rough life before they made it into the box. Never had...
One has to be careful these days getting involved in other peoples problems. Even a rope being lassoed to someone could result in frivolous litigation. I'll be keeping my firearms but that was a great story.
If I'm indoors and just shooting pistols my NRR (31db) Peltor muffs work well, and if I'm shooting long guns with my NRR (27db) low profile muffs I double up with plugs.
I don't want to derail the topic but... There's no standard time frame definition that I know of as to what constitutes continued aggressive behavior after being shot 5-6x, but I would think a reasonable expectation would be that the threat is over immediately (falling to the ground with no...
Comfy, purposeful, organized, and looks great! If I had a dedicated room such as yours it's possible I wouldn't been seen or heard from for days on end.
I'm only drawing my firearm because it needs to be discharged into a threat that may cause me, or others in close proximity, serious harm or possibly death. IMHO, it should be that plain and simple for everyone who carries a firearm on their person. I'm not a fan of drawing a concealed firearm...
The Lee pistol die set I recently purchased came with the spline drive lock rings. I don't have experience with the older nut style, but I would think these new ones have more grip, at least they do for me when finger tighten and loosen. I was actually expecting the old rings to come with my...
Defensive JHP ammo is also designed to expand hopefully staying contained inside of what was just shot. All bullets will make holes, and some will pass completely through the intended target, so try and be aware of what will be the backstop and sling whatever lead you have available to get the...
