45-70 loads for the handi rifle

Trailboss is the way to go with the Cast 405 Grain. The powder website has some loads that I found awhile back. Think I am dropping 12 grains and they are pleasant to shoot. Double check the load data to be sure.

Some GB sellers - I just don't understand their attitude

Right now it seems folks are standing in line to buy. With that in mind sellers don't have to be a courteous or answer tons of questions as they use to. I recently bought a pistol and the basic questions were politely answered. Other times I never even hear back from the seller. Sad but facts...

Go to your local library and see if they have books on reloading. If so check them out and read. Go to Facebook market and look for reloading items. Sad but when folks pass away you can find things pretty cheap. These two ideas can save you a bunch of money. Don't be discouraged but find a...

    Primers

They still can be found. Sad part is, a lot of stores are jacking the prices way up. smaller Hardware store had primers 4.00 for 100. Different store in same town jacked them up to 10.00 for 100. Your best bet right now is to find the pawn shops or other smaller gun stores and see if they...

    Crazy Things

Re Qualifying on the M-16 range. We had a real Jackrabbit run from one end, all the way across to the other end. No one managed to hit the lil fellow. But dirt was kicking up all across the front as he went across.

please share your loads in 45-70 as i'm getting ready to start reloading for this fine old girl!

Trail Boss is a very good powder to load for low recoil. A 405 grain bullet on top, it is nice to shoot all day.

    Rockchucker Supreme Primer Handling

You still get a primer that falls on the floor or bench every now and then. But over all the primer catcher works pretty good.
