9 mm load workup using IMR Target

Can't tell you how much I value and appreciate your comprehensive response, LiveLife. Many good takeaways for me--too many to bore you with a complete diatribe! I note that the website load data seems more comprehensive and up to date than the printed data (Hodgdon's did not show the Speer...

    .380 Universal powder load data

LiveLife you are always so quick to reply, thanks. Hoping I didn’t misinterpret your response, sounds like you’re implying it would be safe to work the charge up beyond 3.5 gr.? I should note I am actually using a RMR FMJ projectile.

How to mark or identify test loads?

Anyone have a good method for marking cases for easy identification and inspection of test loads? Does marking the head with a colored sharpie pose any risk of damage to the firearm? I shoot at an indoor range and it’s not always easy to retrieve my test loads to inspect the cases after firing.

    Odd marks on 9mm cases

    Odd marks on 9mm cases

Has anyone seen cases with marks like the pictures below? I picked these up at the range—they’re not from any of my firearms. The case heads and primers don’t seem to be abnormal so I am left wondering why the odd shooting pattern.

    Cleaning powder drop

I'm new enough to this game that I've only used one powder so far (W231) and have read everywhere not to mix powders. I haven't actually cleaned my powder tube since before I put it into use. Hoping someone can confirm that a few flakes of W231 clinging to the tube won't contaminate and cause...
