    New Taiwan Army Tac-gear. Thoughts?

You are definitely right about that, it's only for certain, short-time missions. For all other stuff we wear Ops Core Fast helmets. Both options are way better than that stupid face mask for sure though :)

    New Taiwan Army Tac-gear. Thoughts?

You don't really... But I found my shooting results are not majorly affected by that. For short distance dynamic shooting like in room clearing, bus/train/aircraft assaults, ect. it works very good. It's a compromise I gladly make for the added protection you get. You don't use this kind of...

    New Taiwan Army Tac-gear. Thoughts?

I've used both the MP5 and the MP7 with that kind of stock and they work really well. With helmet or without. And those Euro style ballistic helmets are relatively comfortable to wear and offer good protection against handguns. They've saved a lot of lives over the last few decades... I...

Need help identifying old ammo and a magazine

Thanks a lot! I didn´t even think about the G43, which I should have since there are not that many magazine fed rifles from that era :o

Hi guys, Does anybody recognize this headstamp or the magazine that contained the ammo? Any help would be appreciated, thanks :)

    Bought a Daniel Defense

First: Then: (To answer your question though, don´t put a piece of crap optic on a high-end AR15, it´s just not worth it. Save up some money for a decent product instead)

Top 10 guns sold BY BUD'S in 2012, really?

The Nagant Revolver placed 4th on that list?! Are they common in America? Is ammo for it available in most shops? That one kinda surprises me the most...

    7.62x39 vs .357 Magnum

I can't believe a thread asking about the effectiveness of a pistol caliber vs. a rifle caliber even went to page two...

    Can anyone identify this spider?

I had no idea that there are that many large spiders in America! I wanted to visit the US sometime next year but I think you all changed my mind :p

What the effective range of .45 ACP from a Carbine?

I wouldn´t deliberately choose a .45 or 9mm carbine for anything over 50m. I guess +/- 100m will be the maximum effective range, though.

Pictures of your range shooting wounds

I got a black eye and a nice circular burn right under my right eye from a .223 casing out of my AR15. I was shooting right next to a wall with the ejection port just a couple of centimeters from said wall. First casing was deflected and hit me with more force than I would have expected. Been...

    10 best cartridges

I probably haven´t shot enough different rifles to make a list of 10. .223 remintgon .308 winchester .338 Lapua 5.45x39mm .22lr 12 gauge I´m not a collector, so I think I could happily live with these six cartridges only. Add 9mm and .357 mag. for handguns and I´m set.

Glocks not as reliable as once thought.???

Just get the gun and a whole lot of ammo and have fun. Every gun will fail once in a while, that's why every serious self-defense/combat shooting training involves fixing all possible kinds of stoppages. A good pistol like a Glock may not jam for several thousand rounds, but if you shoot long...

    Odd CCW/LEO encounter today...

I can't really Relate to the officers actions because where I live people can't carry weapons, so I never thought about how I would handle it. But from a tactical point of view I would certainly NEVER reach that far into a car to pull a gun out of somebodys holster! (or for any other action for...

New Ad From The Brady Campaign

Damn, I thought that video must be some kind of satire... I never watched any of that "brady campaign" stuff before because it doesn't really concern me, but I gotta change that in the future to have a good laugh from time to time :D

    Gransfors Bruks Axes from Sweden

I've got one of their hatchets and the double bladed throwing axe. Both are extremely durable and scary sharp. And they hold that edge for quite some time too. The throwing axe is really fun to practice with. It's much easier as you'd think!

    Aesthetics

Since I like the looks of most modern military/police service weapons, it's basically a non-issue for me. But I have to admit I would not buy a gun that I find ugly.

How many younger shooters are here?

I'm 21 and I've been shooting firearms since I was 17. I would have started at 5 if I had had the chance :p But my parents didn't have guns (not against them, just didn't own any) and gun ownership in general is not as widespread in my county as it is in America. I currently own: Glock...
