Sig Sauer 270 winchester or 7mm remington brass

It seems to be one of the most available on the market. Off the Sig site it's readily available. Does anyone have any experience on how many reloads you can expect to get out of it, like comparing it to Peterson? Thanks for any input

At what point will you start buying primers again?

I bought a few boxes of 100 of Winchester small pistol primers at a Cabela’s in January for $8.99 a box, just to keep supplied. Seeing Midway post Federals today for $109 in stock made me say no. You have to wonder if prices will drop.

Eurooptic a good company for handloaders?

Thanks for the input. I use LRP. Buying ammo and reloading it is a great idea. Appreciate the EuroOptic info.

Eurooptic a good company for handloaders?

Is Eurooptic a good place to purchase brass? I see them on their own site, as well as gunbroker. I've read good and bad reviews about them. They seem to be the only ones with Peterson 308 brass in stock, and it makes me wonder. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Stuck Rifle case

For my .270, I used a 7/16 tap to create some threads. I carefully placed the tap in the open bolt and screwed it into the broken case. I was lucky enough to get it loose and pull it out with no damage to the chamber. That happened after several reloads and when I skimped on inspecting the brass.

    IMR 4166 in .308

I use 42 grains with a 150 grain Hornady sp bullet. It shoots great in my Savage model12 with a 26” barrel.

    Eye relief

Come to think of it, the scope mounts they originally put on that rifle were not the right ones. They were too short, and the bolt could not be removed. Now I am guessing they're too tall, which is causing me problems. It's elevated, so thanks for solving the problem.---I have to tilt my chin up.

    Magnum primers for .270 Win

I just measured Winchester WLR and WLRM primers and found they are identical in size. I'll reduce my loads a grain or 2 lighter to begin. I appreciate all the input and feedback.

    Magnum primers for .270 Win

I’ll pay close attention to pressure signs and a tight bolt. Most of my brass is is twice or 3 times fired. It’s good to know magnum primers are used in a go to load. Thanks!

    Magnum primers for .270 Win

I will follow the advice and take it to the range. I was pretty sure the .270 would be ok, but I wasn’t sure about the .308 and the lighter loads. You guys and your reassurance helped ease my mind!! Thanks.

    Eye relief

I have a Nikon Monarch 3 on a Savage model 110 . 270 win and a model 11 7mm RM, both Savages. The 7mm bdc scope works perfect. No signs of what I call 'tunnel vision' when I draw it to my shoulder to shoot. The .270, on the other hand, has a dark tunnel around it until I keep moving around...

    Magnum primers for .270 Win

I will run short on large rifle primers in a few months, but I have plenty of magnums. I've searched threads for the .270 and found a few loads with a mag primer, but I am skeptical. I need more feedback for using it with Hornady 130, 140 and 150 grain bullets. I've heard to use a couple or 3...

    Brass Sizing Issue(Help?)

Where you have that ring is where my brass separated after a couple of firings. It was burning through. That clearly isn't your problem, but I zoomed in in to make sure. Mine appeared right after they were fired. I attributed my problem to a batch of bad brass from Nosler.

New manufactured brass from Winchester- looks janky

I purchased Nosler custom and Starline brass for my .270 Win. For a few years, I had good luck with Nosler. After the 2nd and 3rd reloads with the newest batch, some started to split, and one stuck because it separated. Most showed signs of pressure right away using middle of the road loads...
