    Who doesn't have a chronograph?

Indeed. People ask me why I have soooo much reloading equipment and components. Well. Sitting on the couch isn’t a hobby Sort of confused by this. Saying just because it’s a coyote gun, no need for load development? Why not? Why not be confident in taking a head shot at distance? If you have...

    Who doesn't have a chronograph?

A chrono isn’t “needed” as some say. But, some guys are just happy with an inch/inch and a half group for their hunting rifle. They don’t shoot real far and they shoot 10 shots a year and have no need for all the information. But, the chrono takes you to the next level of accuracy/repeatability...

    120 gr Gold Dots

I got them from Midway a few months ago. Just got around to playing with them. I’ll definitely be looking for more after that trip since I stumbled on a bunch of the 6.5 Staball powder recently.

    120 gr Gold Dots

Tested some 120 Gold Dots today in a 6.5 Creedmoor. Speer doesn’t list any data for them in 6.5 Creed. But they seem to work just dandy. 45.5 grains of Staball 6.5, OAL 2.710 at 2,884 FPS. Not too shabby for a bonded soft point bullet! 100 yard 3 shot group

    AR-15 question

Have an AR “pistol” in 7.62x39. Absolutely love it. It’s killed a hog or 2. But, functions flawlessly with brass case ammo. With steel, which is the beauty of the caliber cheap ammo, it will not go fully into battery on say 5-8 rounds out of 30. Chamber is clean. My first thought was to change...

    Savage 25 Walking Varminter

That spring doesn’t seem to spin at all. You sure? I’ve seen the accutriggers that have an Allen screw for adjustment. I tried to turn it, doesn’t seem to move…

    Savage 25 Walking Varminter

Picked up a 17 hornet(used). Took it to the range and the trigger was locking up. And getting inconsistent trigger weight. Took it apart, and I think I’m missing a screw. Posting pictures of where I think a screw should be. Can anyone verify that? Thanks!

Noticing a generational shift in calibers. Older ones harder to find

Same. OEF! But I do still hog hunt with a 6.8!

That straight wall thing. Always forget about that being in Missouri. See, that’s why I asked! Does anybody make factory loaded sub sonic 350 ammo?

Noticing a generational shift in calibers. Older ones harder to find

Agreed. Had an AR-10 for a short time. I guess being a ballistics nerd I was focused on round performance!

Not being a smart a$$, but what boxes does the 350 Legend check off that the Creedmoor doesn’t? Besides close in, thick cover hunting, I can’t think of a single thing the legend does that the creedmoor doesn’t do drastically better? Just an honest curious question!! My main hunting rig is an AR...
