If these are being packed by hand, that probably partly explains the shortages lately. I would have assumed this process would be fully automated by now.

I browse a lot of firearm websites and there is definitely an upsurge of interest in black powder arms. One downside is that there will be more calls for regulation and banning of them (ex. Black Powder cannons), but more innovations will appear (ex. Modernized black powder guns).
Technically, you were supposed to be reporting any purchases you made online that you didn’t pay sales tax on when you file with the IRS each year. You’ve been giving Uncle Sam his correct cut each year, right? ;)
There’s a ton of “new” 7.62x39 ammo coming out from Vympel that uses corrosive primers they harvested from old ammo. It’s selling for around $0.40/round.
