    Answer correction... The pin you speak of, holds the barrel in place/alignment... and prevents it from unscrewing... or coming loose... or unaligned... A pinned barrel... or fixed barrel... such as the EM models... where the. barrels are not changed out for different lengths or calibers...

    There are many mysteries new to me... The brass ball is a thumb button swivel cylinder release... Push the brass ball forward and the cylinder releases and swivels out..for loading, etc... Not too sure I would want to be rubbing the. finish up against a fence post... but, your point is correct.. .

    I guess it. is based on my new view into "high end" revolvers... where many are non-fluted... and not just with larger calibers... or 6++ shots... It is done for a more modern look, imo... and I do not like... as. for me it is too much... Kinda my tunnel vision into Janz revolvers and others...

    Not to over do it... But, I found it... my Dream Revolver, and yet, know next to nothing about the specs... No spec sheet... 357 mag, 6" barrel-Rockwell C value of 54., 6 shot, fluted cylinder, pinned barrel, recessed chamber face... . adjustable trigger screw with indicator dial... right side...

    Using the small provided screwdriver... one can adjust the trigger weight... (1.5 - 6 #. )...via a small hole in the wood grip... and the white dot... is the ( +/ -) indicator/dial...It turns... along with the screwdriver screw...

    Nope, wrong again... This Janz is a trophy wife... and going to be doing a whole lot more than just fondling... Mr Janz is a corporation... primarily modern dairy equipment and the Janz EM will be milked for all she is worth... Janz, will not be retiring or going out of business or facing...
