I should have mentioned that this is a rifle with the twist barrels - I guess you'd load them both - shoot one, twist - shoot the other. From what I can tell, this may in fact be a Hopkins and Allen rifle - I need to see if I can get a picture posted
I have an O/U that you twist to fire each barrel independently. It is a single trigger, cap/ball gun. There are no words other than "Warranteed" stamped on it. What is it? Anyone know?.....thanks.
I have a HP clone that the trigger feels like it has sandpaper in it! When I remove the magazine, the trigger seems to be very smooth. This is not a trigger pull - it is a trigger yank!
I have heard about a magazine disconnector that may cause this problem. Any thoughts? Help?
Got it settled...........Buy em both!
Yep,
I am buying the Springer this week followed soon by the Kimber.
I got a good deal on the Springfield so it's first and I spoke to a guy who will get me a great deal on the Kimber Stainless II TLE
Thanks for all of the input.........I will...
OK,
I'm down to 2 guns now.
The SA Custom Loaded A-1 Full size stainless
OR
The Kimber Stainless II.
I really like the way both look and feel. Both are towards the lower end of their respective family.
I have heard that Kimbers are great and that SA is a very good gun. I...
The field is getting smaller..........
A lot of great feedback..........thanks very much. Got it narrowed down now to the Kimber Stainless TLE II and the Springer "Custom Loaded Full Size". I realy like the feel of the grip checkering on the TLE and recognize either would be a fine 1911...
My friend owns 5 Maks...........I tried one of them,,,,,,,,,,,,,now I own 2. This is the one I carry in my fishing bag too. Love the Mak. Durable accurate and I agree................go with the Pearce grips if you don't like the sting.
OK - I know this is a lot like which truck you like, Ford, Chevy or Dodge (maybe something else) but I'm looking at a Kimber, Springfield Armory and a Para all in the $800 - $1000 range.
I am leaning towards the Kimber Stainless II. Not realy fancy, but as I understand real good. I have heard...
Fab 10 Mag
How did you attach the mag to the Fab 10? It looks great. I have been think of doing something like this on mine. Is it a factory job?
I too am confined to the PRK.
Buy the new one......please
I agree - buy the new receiver if you can and don't plan on moving back here to California anytime soon. In fact, you could probably sell it to me for what the new receiver costs!
Good luck to ya. It's always nice to hear when someone "breaks out"
Found one!
I found one at featherusa.com. They still carry them and they were only 20 bucks. Numrich didn't list feather at all, which was a surprise, but I am still interested in the idea of the AR7 Survival rifle mags. A good friend of mine has one of those rifles so I think I'll compare the...
I am interested to find out if there is a good, reliable thread that identifies what a person should look for in a scope.............. I am looking primarily at a 3-9 for a 30/06 Winchester. There are so many out there ranging from $30 - $600 and more! What are the diferences that a person...
I'm with the "disable it completely" group. Unless you plan to keep it all original for historical purposes. The last thing you need is some knucklehead shooting it other than yourself and actually "relying" on a decocker and shooting where he shouldn't.
I'm not real fond of decockers anyway...
My son in-law and I both bought 45's last year at this time. He went with the Sig, I went with the CZ97B. We both love our guns. He has had some ejector problems all along and is in fact back at SAI right now. His dad has the identical Sig and never had a problem.
I have never had a jam in...
Thanks for all of the input.
Made the decision and went with the Smith 629 1/2 underlug. Love the looks.........just need to find the best set of grips for me. If I could take the grips off a Super Redhawk and make em fit, I'd probably be thrilled, but there's a lot of good grips out there so...
Pappy.........You're a man after my own heart! Heck, I oughta buy all 3. I mean, I would like it. My dealer would like it. S&W would like it and Ruger would like it. Sounds like a good plan.........oops.........my sweetheart probably won't go for that and wouldn't you know it, she trumps all of...
OK - here's the deal.........first of all my son-in-law is NOT limp wristed! He has several guns and shoots all of them well. His dad has his own 220. The guns are identical. No problems when either shooters fires that gun.
He has NEVER monkeyed around with the extractor or tried to act like...
