I have a couple of 681's and they are my favorite revolvers. They both have 7 shot cylinders in them now and shot great. You just can't beat a older S&W trigger and the L frames will handle all the 357 mag. you can feed it.

It will be the same as going in your local gun store and buying a firearm except you have already payed for this firearm and all that left is filling out the Federal paper work and the back ground check. Hope this helps

There are a lot of good older Marlin still out there for sell. You can still fine some good deal on them also. To me that would be the way to go. Good Luck

Someone correct me if I'am wrong but the receiver is made of a aluminum alloy and has to be anodized instead of being blued and yes the 12 and 20 gauge butt stocks will interchange. Where they butt up to the receiver will not be perfect but it's mighty close.

I have used the Durocoat on 3 different model 1911's. I used the "Matte-Black and OD Green" colors. I was very satisfied with the end results. It was very forgiving and easy to use. The main thing is to prepare the metal as Durocoat recommends and you will good to go.

Duracoat is a great product if you follow the direction . I have done 3 1911 (two of them I did two-tone) the other a single action colt clone. It holds up great and very easy to apply!! The only problem I had was with the can of propellant that I bought to use with the air brush, it froze up...
