    Need pocketknife recommendation....

I've had case knives since the 70's. Treat them right and your grandchildren will appreciate them. You cant go wrong with case.

    Ken onion worksharp

How well does it do on pocket knives? Like a Case medium stockman size, or a peanut? I've seen larger blades done, but wonder about the smaller stuff.

    Ken onion worksharp

I've been watching the videos. They are why I think I'm getting one. What now takes hours, should take 30 minutes or less. With equal, or better results.

    Ken onion worksharp

Try as I might, some steels are almost impossible with stones. I get very frustrated spending an hour on a knife, and it's still not sharp. I'm usually a patient guy, but there are limits.

    Ken onion worksharp

I'm thinking seriously about getting one of these. Old standard knives and steel like Case or Buck have never been a problem to sharpen using stones or ceramics. Newer steels, s30v, ats-34 and such are a serious pain to get right. What are your experiences with the worksharp?

    SW Feature Tip Revolver repair

I read something a while back. If I understood correctly, if I send my gun to a gunsmith, or back to the factory, I have to go through a new background check. Is this correct? If this is the wrong place to post this, I apologize. I would like to send a revolver back to S&W.

    GT bullets

You are referring to 231? Hornady shows it as slightly faster than hp38. Thank you for the suggestion, I will give it a try.

    Double tap

It looks like Rossi offers the carbine in .454. So .45 Colt +p ought to be ok

    .45 colt 300gr doubletap

I got a box at a yard sale. Box say 1325 fps from a 7.5" barrel. I have a new model blackhawk and a 20" Rossi carbine, the blackhawk is a 45/8 barrel. The idea of firing it in either one is, well, sort of intimidating. No grizz, bison or elk here. Seems a bit much for piggies. Whats it good for...

    Double tap

300 grs @1325 fps from a 7.5 barrel. Oops in .45 colt+p. It came with some other stuff i got in a yard sale. My .45 is a ruger black hawk, but its a 4&5/8" barrel. I do have a Rossi 20" carbine, but can't figure out whay it's good for. No grizzlies, bison or elk here. Piggies maybe, seems...

    255 gr for .45 acp

I appreciate everyones help. I figured Unique or hp38 would work. Seems Unique may work best. If it does, it will be time to look for a piggie.

    255 gr for .45 acp

It's converible. I have the 45 colt and acp cylinders. I prefer the acp for what I'm doing. And factory ammo is cheaper to buy.

    255 gr for .45 acp

I have the 9th edition Hornady. Nothing listed.

    255 gr for .45 acp

I am looking for a load for a .45 acp revolver. Ruger Blackhawk specifically. I have a bunch of 255 gr cast swc bullets on hand. Bullseye, Unique, HP38 and 2400 for powders. I am looking for reloading data using some combo of these components. Nothing real hot, 800 fps or close would be excellent.

    Stock to short

I appreciate the responses. As I had mentioned, I have 0 ar type experience. I was offered this by a neighbor for $500.00 He says it's had a box and a half of ammo put through it. I got the gun, a box and a half of ammo, 2 magazines and a soft case in the deal. Couldn't pass it up at that price.

    Stock to short

The gun is strictly a factory stock rifle. I'm 6'4" and have long arms. Another inch of pull would be nice.

    Stock to short

I have peep sights on several other rifles and sight placement is good. I did not know that this sight was moveable. I'll have to look and see how to do that. Thanks
