I bought a Beretta Silver Pigeon II 28 ga. Been reading in M. McIntosh's book about the 28 gauge and how many (most) and built on 20 gauge frames. Anyone know if the Beretta 28 is a true 28 frame or just 28 ga barrels fit to a 20 gauge frame? Thanks. Good shootin.

A fellow shooter thinks the 687 EELL I have may be a gallery gun due to the extra engraving it has vs. his EELL. I bought it used and have no way on contacting original owner to ask. Is there a way to distinguish a gallery gun? Would Beretta have info on it or is that done after leaving the factory?
