Are the Sig P6 trade-ins still available cheap?

I think either J&G Sales or Southern Ohio Gun had them in this week's Shotgun News. About $270 ( a steal ) for them.

    TZ 75 with no safety...

OK; disassembled and cleaning it up. HIGH polish feed ramp. I think this was someone's semi-custom race gun.

    TZ 75 with no safety...

Just got in from work; another detail: slide is ported with four holes. Could it be some sort of IPSC special? * And pic; there's nothing but slide. There's no space for the decock/safety on the rear of the slide. I've searched the internet & found no reference to a TZ model without a safety.

    TZ 75 with no safety...

Nope, neither one. It's single/double action (reminds me of the GP-35 Hi-Power) without a safety. The only controls are the slide stop, mag release, hammer, and trigger.

    TZ 75 with no safety...

I think that's what I meant... ..it has neither a safety nor a manual decocker. That's what perplexes me.

    TZ 75 with no safety...

..I just picked up a TZ75 today ( likely a 1980's production model ) and it has no slide safety nor a decocker. Is this common for the model?

    Remington 710

I agree with the majority here.. I saw one at a local Wally Whirled and was unimpressed. For the same $$ (about $325), they had several Winchester Model 70's to choose from, in addition to the Mossburg and a lovely 700 ADL with (shock!) factory iron sights.

    Say NO to commie chic

Communism's effects.. Last fall, I took a poli science course on Eastern Europe. We had some guest speakers, mostly in their late twenties to early thirties, who were grad students. They all grew up in Warsaw Pact nations, but the one whose story stuck deepest was a woman from Slovakia. Her...

I picked up my Yugo 24/47 yesterday..

A local FFL... I paid a little too much for it ( about $145 total), but I really wanted the rifle. I got the package deal with the bayonet, sling, and cleaning kit. It's motivated me to get a C&R license.

I picked up my Yugo 24/47 yesterday..

The bad news: the bluing is shot and it's now a steely gray patina. The good news: same as above, plus the bore is absolutely mirror clean. I can't wait to shoot it and I'll post a couple of pics. One thing though, the safety is really sticky. Any suggestions?

So tell me about the Yugo 24/47 Mauser..

Accessories.. Mine is coming with a bayonet, scabbard, sling, cleaning kit, and ammo pouches.

So tell me about the Yugo 24/47 Mauser..

I'm picking one up next week via private sale from a friend and I've seen plenty of the M48/M48A variants about, but I know little about this model. Are the 24/47 rifles refurbished Czech VZ 24's or were they domestically produced in Yugoslavia?

Great combo gun.. My dad has one and it's a joy to shoot.

    Advice on Charles Daly

My cousin.. He has a Daly auto and it won't cycle most common 12 gauge shot shells.

Aluminum rod/cleaning patch stuck in an Enfield barrel..

I'm getting a couple of brass rods and a mallet.. from my dad tomorrow. I've got the patch soaking in some oil now to free it up. I can wiggle the rod around a bit (it's flush with the end of the barrel), so I'm still trying to loosen the patch a bit.

Aluminum rod/cleaning patch stuck in an Enfield barrel..

I burned a patch... it appeared to be all cotton as there was no melting in the fabric.

Ammunition.. How much ammo is it suggested that you bring for the shoot?

Aluminum rod/cleaning patch stuck in an Enfield barrel..

I think I'm going to burn it out tomorrow.. I've taken off the wood from the barrel and I've got some generic WD-40 to fuel the fire. Would this cause any damage to the barrel? I only want to burn the patch enough to loosen the mess I've made inside.

Aluminum rod/cleaning patch stuck in an Enfield barrel..

I've got it soaking now.. I used 3 in One Oil to see if I can loosen the whole mess up. I'm letting it soak in overnight.

Aluminum rod/cleaning patch stuck in an Enfield barrel..

Burn the patch... I thought of that too, but I was worried that the patch may contain polymers and foul up the barrel pretty bad. I've soaked it with 3 In One oil to try to loosen the rod. I can move the end of the rod around a bit, so it seems to be freeing up a bit. I'm home for surgery...
