i Have had the Torpedo for over 2 years now... The thing is a great conversation piece... For self defense its almost useless unless you intend on murder, because this thing hitting flesh would be bad news at best.... the best use i found for it, is i would bring it on the job site...

hopefully in time it will go down a bit, its brand new so the hype will be big but in like a year or so hopeflly will will drop a bit...

mine never had that problem... i had a similar problem with a 30rd mag i got from a website recently, but if you hold the mag release button while you load it in it works fine.... mines in 9mm and i love it prolly bout 2000 rounds through it already and no malfunction... also like it says...

i have one i carry it now everyday it has never opened on me and i have no need for the safety, i carry it at work,and everywhere else and it never opened...so if yur thumb works correctly you should be fine =) it came nice and sharp and the SAT opening mechanism is nice and addictive to play...

any of you guys have any experience with the Cold Steel Torpedo? I have herd some good stuff about it and ordered one and im very impatient on the UPS guy lol... from reports you can throw this baby through 2x4s and crack cinder blocks... so whats the verdit with the torpedo?? thanks...
