I'm in the market for a plastic sub-compact and am trying to determine the optimal barrel length and caliber combination. I am familiar with the pros/cons of common pistol designs and calibers but I need to better understand how a short barrel influences overall effectiveness.

I've been wanting either a tac light or new foreend w/a built in light for my Model 37. Trouble is, I can't find a mount made specifically for the Model 37. Will a Remington 870 light mount work on this? I've called Surefire and they weren't able to help. Thanks for any help you can offer.
