    question on pistol primers

I'm leaving the .380 auto caliber behind and used the lee depriming tool to deprime about 800 cases with unspent primers. Is it safe to reuse those primers, and would you expect them to be reliable? Thanks.

Question on Lyman 9mm Resizing Die

I bought a set of Lyman 9mm dies. The sizing die comes with a solid decapping rod, but there is no lock ring to lock it in place. How do you set the depth of the decapping rod, if there in no lock ring? Thanks.

    Need advice on H-335 reloading

I bought some Varget to try. I have read that it does not meter particularly well. Other than that, it's supposed to be like Christmas, income tax refund, and your team in the Super Bowl all rolled into one.

    Need advice on H-335 reloading

I would appreciate advice on my .223 reloading. Bullet velocities are not up to those listed on the Hodgdon website: 2582 to 2738 fps. I'm wondering if the difference is completely due to using a 16" barrel instead of a 24" barrel, or I am a making reloading errors? My barrel has 1:7 twist. I'm...

Steel cased ammo damages your extractor: myth or reality?

I have heard nurmerous times that shooting steel cased ammo can possibly damage your extractor. Anyone have any first hand experience with this being true? Thank you.

    Question on Hornady LNL

Thanks for the replies. I called Hornady, and they are going to send replacement "press bushings." The Hornady Tech said that press bushing wear is unusual. It is not a part that should need to be periodically replaced.

    Question on Hornady LNL

The press is only about 3 years old. Less than 20,000 rounds on it.

    Question on Hornady LNL

I observed some movement in the dies when reloading with my Hornady LNL. A close inspection of the press shows some wear where the bushings lock into the press. Photos below are of the die slots with the press turned upside down. Some of the bearing surfaces appear very worn and some appear...

    Training requirements for gun ownership.

We are dealing with this basic problem in Maryland at this time. Judge Legg has ruled Maryland's unreasonable "good and substantial" reasons required for a handgun permit null and void. I don't think gun owners are opposed to training requirement similar to what is required for a Florida...

    Best Gun Lubricant?

A mixture of oil and grease also works well in cold weather. I like to use microbrush applicators for precise placement of lubricants on slide rails, etc.

    Gun safe question

I'm looking to buy a larger gun safe, and I don't have a basement or garage. The safe would go on wood floors. (Hardwood over plywood over wood joists.) So how heavy a safe can I install without risking any structural damage such as warping? Thank you.

Glock trigger hurts me finger! What can I do?

Don't take this as Gospel, but I have heard you can dremel the safety until it sits flush with the face of the trigger when it is depressed.

Anyone seen or bought a Snapsafe Titan Gun Vault? It is similar to a Zanotti modular safe. Is it a quality safe? Thank you.

Got my first .223 reloading data. Now what?

So I just shot my first rounds of .223 reloads: Of the three different loads, all grouped equally well. So how do I decide which load is best when reloading more rounds? Thank you. Montana Gold 55g FMJ OAL= 2.25 + - .005 Lee FCD Coax Press Made on 7-7-11 25.5 g BLC-2...

    Recommend model of Opti-visor magnifier?

I also recommend the standard model with glass lenses. For gunsmithing, I like the #5 lens. You can get additional lenses later if you want them. I also have the #10 lens which almost never gets used. The focus is very close.

    Ruger competition 22 pistols

I am considering purchase of a target 22 pistol. I have read that the Ruger's are a good choice. Would I want a Mark II or Mark III gun? Also, I read that Rugers are a PITA to disassemble. How much trouble are they to take apart and reassemble? Thank you.
