I live in rural Illinois and I'll be 21 in July. However I want a 1911 before then. Is it cool to go to alabama and get one then come back? Our laws here are bs but they still are laws.

Can someone in Illinois own a five-seven without special class III licensing. Just for novelty reasons my friend wants one and i would consider getting one. Would they be considered armor piercing?
I don't even mind the FOID as much as other stuff (though its useless for catchign criminals). All i have to do is pay 5 bucks to the state to have a card that says im not a felon and can buy weapons. What is worse that the FOID is we have a small list of animals that we are allowed to hunt...
Yeah its pretty strict over here across the river. I live in southern illinois by the river and unfourtunatly I'm just one of many rural folk who have to put up with stuff coming out of Chicago. I wish more city laws didn't apply to the country too. They should be more specific to the ordinance...
I am 20. In illinois you have to be 21 to purchase handguns or handgun ammo, but if you are just using one and have parental permission and void card, you can hunt with one under the wildlife code without being 21.
I'm just wondering if you can also target shoot with one on private property...
