    Loose rib on a double-barrel?

I had the exact same thing happen to my 16ga double. I just squeezed some liquid solder under the rib, clamped it for a few hours, held great even after shooting.

Need an old-timer to tell me about a "sliding scope".

I had one in 20X, on a Savage 22-250. Don't remember the name but the spring was to soften the recoil. Mine was extremely accurate and went back to its original position after every shot. The spring was also adjustable for stiffness. Still kicking myself for selling it.

    Safety versus rights

 Gives new meaning to the word wishy-washy. I wonder if he is just concerned about his cushy job as a "resource officer". ptmmatssc quotes: I think you will be glad to know, there have been over a dozen comments posted in the paper by various readers about concealed carry and...

a man confronts you with a gun

Well, if a man was standing in front of a gate with a shotgun, the smart thing to do would be not to drive up to him. If he pulls out a shotgun after you pull up, then there are too many variables to say what a person would do.

    Poll carrying on school property

Thanks JRFOXX for setting them straight. The herald and News seem to be anti-gun but apparently do not have the backbone to come right out with it. They are in favor of banning teachers from being allowed to protect themselves. Haven't seen anything in today's paper about it.

Anyone have friends with bad gun etiquette?

My wife's brother-in-law told me he had a nd when he was pulling the slide back on his pistol and it slipped, had his finger on the trigger. The next day we were looking at some pistols at the local store. He picks one up and the first thing he does is put his finger on the trigger. I guess...

    Poll carrying on school property

State law and the federal Gun-Free School Zone Act prohibit anyone — including employees and non-employees — from bringing firearms onto public school grounds or into school buildings. Klamath Falls City Schools has a policy prohibiting guns on campus, although it does not have a specific policy...

    Trigger Control

I would think if a person was flinching, tightening their grip etc. when they knew when the hammer was going to drop, are shooting a gun that is too powerful for them. Or, they need to spend some serious time dry firing.

    Trigger Control

Everything I have read to date about trigger control states, that a person should squeeze the trigger and not know when the gun is going to go off. But, in the November 2007 edition of Outdoor Life, Jim Carmichel has an article in which he states: (The key to accurate shooting is not squeezing...
