    Cleanout screw

Roguard claims it will stick to stainless and their pricelist says $130 for a rifle barrel. Sounds like neat stuff. However, I have not used their product. http://www.robarguns.com/roguard.htm

    euroarms/asp remington navies

"Purvis1, Question - why do you like the Lymans?" I don't, necessarily. Some of them were ASPs. ASP is now Euroarms. Euroarms are currently available and old Lyman ASPs are harder to find. I've heard that the Lyman ASPs were very nice. I was hoping someone here had experience with both...

    euroarms/asp remington navies

"Well you asked for the best MFG. Rev ifin ya don't wanna know then don't ask...looks like you already have your mind made up." Actually the thread title clearly states which manufacturer I am interested in, not which is best. Specifically, quality differences between Lyman imported ASPs and...

    euroarms/asp remington navies

"This may not be fair to ALL generations and models of Euroarms but without knowing what generation or models to trust I'd go with the more proven track record of the other two brands. The insides of my 1851 was rough enough to just about bring tears to my eyes. Yes it works and yes it'll shoot...

I read somewhere that the current ones have a dovetailed front sight like the Uberti. Is this true?

    euroarms/asp remington navies

No problem. I'm really interested in getting as close as I can to a Remington-Beals... and Santa said I was very good this year. Anybody else have anything to say about the ASPs/Euroarms or seen any around? I'm pretty sure I need one. Thanks again.

    euroarms/asp remington navies

I think I've talked myself into one of these. My question is this. Do I want to take the time and find an old Lyman or is the current quality of euroarms up to par? This will be for shootin' not droolin' over. Thanks for your time.

    pietta/uberti hammer screws

Because I'm not just thinking about replacing the screw. There's a buttstock for a '51 Pietta involved. My local gunsmith can turn firing pins. I'm hoping he can turn a screw.

    pietta/uberti hammer screws

Hi, I've got a civilian 1860 Army Uberti circa 2000 coming and was wondering if a hammer screw from a Pietta would fit or not. Any body know? A friend of mine has a Pietta, but he lives almost 2 hrs away (and doesn't have any Uberti stuff). Thanks for your time, Jon

    1858 New Model

"In my mind I can just see someone a long time ago using that carbine to put meat on the table for them and their family and maybe to kill a snake that was coiled up and ready to strike one of their children or whatever. You know, stuff like that. Well, anyway, I am sure enjoying myself...

    1858 New Model

No problem. Even though it was doomed from the get-go, I find it to be awful swell. The first time I took mine out was the most I'd smiled at the range in a long time. I've built FALs, AKs, and ARs, but I actually giggled when I shot my carbine at some small pumpkins. I shot 38 grains of FFF...

Remmy carbine answers? I don't know if this will help, but I ran across it while huntin up info after purchasing one of the repros (absolutely love mine, by the way). http://www.remingtonsociety.com/rsa/journals/RevolvingRifles
