I have brought that same question up with Western at least twice, but they keep referring me to the GS data. 5.2gr Silhouette gave me 990fps. This is the load I settled on when I still had Silhouette. It was close enough. BTW, when I chrono the HST’s, they come in at 1014fps.

I misspoke (mistyped?) when I wrote 1200fps. I'd be happy if I could reach 1140-1150fps with the Silhouette. With the plated bullets, Ramshot shows loads up to 6 or 6.1gr. I'm just not sure how that translates to my Zero jhp.

Is there a better alternative in a non-flake powder to get to, say, 1200fps ? N340 will come close, but as we all know, it's pricey.

This pistol looks very interesting. The trigger pull may be great out of the box (I don't know....I've never tried one), but if it isn't, does the FN shop do any kind of custom work like a trigger job ? Or do they strictly handle repair/warranty work ?

I finally got a chance to chrono my test loads with the N320 and ZIP today. It was about 50 deg F and the chronograph was 10 feet from the muzzle. All loads were with Zero 230gr JHP loaded to COL of 1.21". SD's with ZIP were in the upper teens, and in the mid to upper 20's with N320. N320...
