I just picked up a Mauser HSc in 7.65 which I've been packing around. It's a butey and in like new shape being made in the 40's. I've got S&B hardballs and Federal personal defense .32 autos to go with it.
Here is a pick of me ca. 1952. I'm not sure what the cap gun was and I don't remember it. When I was 6 yo. my Uncle Jack gave me a Fanner Fifty and wished I still had it.
I wish I could be there with you. I used to live in Fairmont. I sure miss the hot dogs and sauce and those buckwheat pancakes.
I could use a good sauce recipe.
Have a fun shoot!

I watched Open Range and The Quick and the Dead on AMC last night. I like it that Cosner used an 1873 rifle. The Quick and the Dead is a pretty dumb movie but the six guns were the best. Adding to the "Hollywood" factor was the new R-P ammo featured in the cylinders. The costumes in both movies...
I feel your pain Mikeo. My trade was just plain stupid and it proved to me I am just too trusting. I entrusted my Ithaca/SKB Model 700 Trap Gun to the 99th ARCOM ameror to take to a gun show in Ohio and told him I wanted to trade for a factory Wincehster Model 12 20 ga. skeet gun. He came back...
Give me a break. She buys so much stuff without consulting me, why bother? I come and go with so many gun cases, who cares what's in them? we travel and camp a lot. She has stated on many occassions she can always count on me to have a knife and gun should the need to use one occurs. Last year...
I collect knives so have a few favorites to include a couple of 110's that stay sharp. I like my Randall's, Blackjack Trail Guide, and, as was metioned before, Bark River. The Bark River Gameskeeper, for the money, is the best deal going.
The past week I've hit most of the pawn shops around Ft. Lewis and there are no good deals for what I'm looking for. Gun and Bow, in Parlkand, does have two new AK's for 519 bucks. I was looking for a decent Wingmaster to convert to a riot gun but no joy. Model 94's are getting hard to find or...
Good guns! I used to be in the army reserve with a gal whose father made those for High Standard. I shot her .410 he had given her and it was sweet. I've got 870's and Model 12's but never got around to finding a good High Standard and seeing yours gives me an idea.
Guntalk-: I stand corrected. I thought you were younger and it goes to show to never pre-judge.
I have to admit that I seldom read Outdoor Life or Field and Stream anymore so wouldn't know what you own or shoot. I can't get over how petite they are now. I'll have to go through my old...
Well, I tell ya, Tom. I go by real name at several other boards and decided to remain anonymous here. The owners have my real name with my ISP should someone want to track me down. Having served in the army for over 20 years and prolly going in before you were born, I don't hide unless I'm shot...
A lot of Canadians have sad view of themselves and the U.S. A friend of mine's wife, from B.C., told my wife (a LTC) "Canada doesn't need an army. We have the U.S. to protect us." They're sheeple and it is a matter of time and they will be gun free. We need to be very careful.
This one time I drove back into the old WWII .50 cal. ranges at FLW. I had the place to my self and could shoot all day and not be bothered. I set up my own rifle and pistol range. I would set up clay pigeons on the berm and shoot at them with my combat commander. One time I was shooting at...
