    Uberti lever hook?

Thanks. So, if I got a replacement, cut it flush and finished it, there wouldn't be any problem with it? It looks like something a lawyer would stick on it but from your explanation it is useful. Might not change it, just a thought. I'll keep it as is for a while and see.

What is the last gun that you bought?

I think I have one coming. They are fancy version of a Izhmash Biathlon Basic aren't they? The Biathlon Basic I have is a great shooter and I've always wished they made a better looking stock for them.

    .243 ar build

The 243 WSSM rifle will be lighter in weight and cheaper than the 243 Win rifle. The ammo for the 243 Win will be easier to find and cheaper. Little bit of a trade off there, cheaper and lighter rifle and more expensive ammo if you can find it against the 243 Win with the higher weight, higher...

    AR-15 .22 Conversion Units?

I have a Tactical Solutions upper for my AR and it has worked great. Didn't want to shoot 22lr thru my 223 upper so got dedicated upper. Good luck on finding much of anything now with the buying craze.

    economical hearing/eye protection?

The price for the electronic muffs has dropped a lot since they first came out. Take a look at midwayusa.com or your favorite supply place. There are some for under $30, not the absolute best but work as good as the regular muffs for me.

I've got big hands for the 1911.

another guy with big hands A 1911 wide-body fits my hand perfectly and for my other 1911's I found thicker grips help. Haven't tried the wrap-around grips with the finger grooves yet. The slip-on grips from Hogue helped on a couple of my other autos.

    Colt D.A. 38?

Don't want to shoot this gun but is the 38 Long Colt BPC 150gr. HBFP listed at the Old Western Scrounger website the right ammo for this one. Ten-X also lists this. My father kept 38 specials in this thing for years, never shot them. Cartridges loaded with smokeless powder to black powder...

    Colt D.A. 38?

The finish looks real good but there is pitting around the end of the barrel. I haven't cleaned all the junk out of the barrel but it might be slightly pitted too. The rest of it looks real good. Guess I would have some minor blemishes if I was around 100 years too. It isn't a real...

    Colt D.A. 38?

I'll try to make some pictures today. As for shooting 357's in this because they fit, not me, I value my health too much.

    Colt D.A. 38?

The cylinders are bored straight thru, no shoulders. I don't think I'll be shooting this one. Probably just clean it up. It looks like it hasn't been used much, finish is almost like new.

    Colt D.A. 38?

Up until two years ago my father kept this under his pillow loaded with 38 specials. Don't remember my father ever shooting it. I'll try to make some pictures. Thanks

    Colt D.A. 38?

Does anybody know anything about one of these? It has 1374 5 (5 below the 1374, no dash) where the S&W has a serial number. A number on the bottom of the grip frame is 151XXX. It also has R.A.C. below the hammer on one side of the frame. I'll try to get some pictures later.

Time for a debate or "Can of Worms" 38's in a 357

why shoot 38's in a 357? Some guns are only made in 357 caliber. I have a S&W 66 that I shoot 38's only. It was made to be carried all day and shoot 357's when needed but if you shoot them all the time the gun wears fast. I bought a pair of Ruger Vaquaro's in 357 but will never shoot 357's...
