The TGO1's slide is finished by Robar in black. I believe yours is a TGO2 correct? Yours has a black Springfield Armory kote slide over grey NP3 frame. If you want to refinish the slide, ask Springfield if you can send only the slide to them to have it done. You will save money as you don't have...

Springfield GI or Milspec. Backed with a lifetime warranty. Costs about as much as a Glock. I have handled RIAs but havent shot one so I can't comment on them. Goodluck.
You can try this
Disassemble the frame completely and pull out the trigger. Use a small pocket knife, insert in the adjustment hole in an angle and scrape all around the sharp parts in an angle. Dont overdo it though, just enough to take out the sharp angle in the hole. Let us know what...
Im currently using the stock Colt and Springfield mags that came with the guns and bought extra Springfields. I see no reason to switch to the more expensive brands, they have not yet given me any problem (knock on wood).
The TRP comes in armory kote (black bake on finish) or stainless. Regular TRPs come with fixed novak style sights w/ night sights and has a regular barrel/bushing combo.
The TRP railed operator comes only in armory kote (black also). They have adjustable night sights and has a bull barrel (no...

Colt and Springfield
Springfield has nice features; night sights, beavertail, etc. I have an MC that is great.
Colt is just classic, and holds resale value. My XSE shoots fine.
I like how Sigs look, but I used to work at a shooting range and the Sig 1911s would always be out of comission...

1)Push firing pin safety button in slide, hold it in then push the firing pin in.
2)let go of FP safety, firing...
Hey freakshow thanks for the reply. If they were normal to begin with, could they get worn out from use that hammer follow could start happening? Thanks again.
Ive seen a number of threads saying that their 1911 fired after dropping the slide. This got me concerned cause I cannot afford for that to happen to me. I keep my ser70 1911s stock and clean so is there any chance that could happen to me? They never did that before but I just want to make sure...
I saw it at the store for almost a grand. It caught my eye cause its a pistol that uses a rifle caliber, seems pretty neat. Any opinion on this pistol guys? Thanks.
