Need help with a seating die

I am getting tired of the variation in OAL with my cheap seating die. Need to move on and would like a little guidance in buying a seating die for .223. My 1in9" will be shooting 50-69gr bullets and the 1in7" will be shooting 75and 80gr missles. Advice appreciated.

    Can you recommend a trimmer?

Have a couple of thousand .223 cases to trim and would like some recommendations for a trimmer. Doesn't need to be fancy (read expensive) and probably won't be used for other calibers. Appreciate any input.

    long range rifle/sniper?

Look into a Savage 10FP (.223 or .308) with a 24-26" barrel. 1/2 - 3/4 MOA accuracy. Optics- 4-16x Tactical with Mildot reticle (hold on to your Visa-pricey). Stock- HS, McMillan or Choate. You're good to go.

22lr enough to go through human bone/skull?

Some clarification and terminology Having seen first hand several thousand GSWs to bone (major inner city hospital) let me offer some insight into 22LR properties. The ability of all projectiles to penetrate bone is related to the energy that can be transmitted to the bone. This is dependent...

    Service v. Match grade?

The high power bug has only recently bitten me. I acquired an AR-15 (RRA) carbine and found the fun of longer distance shooting. In speaking with a few of the shooters at my club, I am convinced that I will need to expand my equipment. I have a few elementary questions about the rifles: 1)...

What Pistol for Under $500.00?... Yeah, Yeah I Know...

If you are looking to convert your .45 to a .22 then I would highly reccommend the Marvel. Put mine atop a Kimber frame and it's a wonder to shoot. I bought the kit with the rail and put a reasonable red dot on it and I'm driving tacks with it. Using inexpensive standard velocity ammo (Eley...

I'm thinking of buying a spingfield armory 45. acp.

Springfield 1911A1 Micro Bought a micro compact (GI) and was having difficulty with ejection. Sent them a few empty casings that had been marked with their position in the chamber. The diagnosis was made and the problem fixed in 7 days door to door. They refinished the pistol at no charge...

    Adopted an Argentinian

Si Senor Si Senor, bueno! You will enjoy the little rascal. Remarkably accurate for an inexpensive pistol (see the 15 yd challenge in the General catagory, pg 7). Have two; both are reliable with no failures after ~1000 rds. That is, with the exception of Wolf ammo that they just don't...

    Lets talk 1911 triggers

Trigger pull Now let me get this straight. The crispness of the trigger is determined by the machining and/or polishing of the hooks and the sear. Isn't the pull force determined by the tension or force applied by the sear spring? Someone correct me if I have the concepts wrong. Michael

    Cylinder & Slide for 1911?

I plan on upgrading my 1911 with a new sear, hammer, disconnector and springs. The gun will be used for bullseye. Are the C&S parts worth the premium price? Any other sources for parts recommended? How much final fitting necessary? Thanks for any insight.
