    Tikka T3 Stock problems

I have a wood stocked Hunter in 6.5x55 that I love. The wood is not real pretty but it looks fine. when the stock removed it looks good underneath. And it is a very accurate rifle. I am not sure there are quality control issues now but I am on the lookout For another Tikka. As for Ripper...

Is There Really Room For so Many 6.5mm's?

I currently have #3, 6.5x55. My Tikka is by far the most accurate of all of my firearms. Originally, I fell in love with the Swedish Mauser, own a couple of them still and shoot them every chance I get. I have to say it is a sweet round, and probably the only 6.5 that I will fall in love with.

    Oldest rifle you currently own!

I regularly shoot my 1912 Swede M38. I also own a late 1700s muzzle loader, maybe 16 ga? Which is the most beautiful firearm I own by far.

    Kel-Tec SU16A rifle??

I have a SU16A. It has proven to be accurate and reliable with alum mags. Quality is what you might expect from a rifle priced like the Kel Tec. The plastic put me off at first but it has proven(1.5K rnds) to be a fun gun. It sports new forearm and sights. What is the intended use? Loosehorse

    Tikka

I have a Tikka 6.5 Hunter. It is a favorite of mine. I, like rustcollector, became fond of the round using my Swedes. Now I cant get enough of them. I looked at the CZ and the Tikka before buying. CZ was not worth the extra $ IMHO. Mine sure fits me and is scary accurate right out of the...

    Swedish Mauser

Get the best you can afford IMHO. They are great fun and wonderful to fire. I generally like to see what I am buying but I bought my M38 on Gunbroker and got treated fairly, I thought. Matching is preferable and not a bubba job. Enjoy! There is alot of good info on the web about these fine...

    Swedish mauser m38

Hrubison, I agree with Smokey Joe, M38s are getting expensive as they have very nice actions and are really well put together. Mine is from 1912 and shoots like a dream. Ammo around here is pretty easy to find, but limited in variety. I liked the round so much that I bought a Tikka in 6.5x55...

Best possible combo from the Bargain Bin? (CMMG)

I am happy with mine. It's a CMMG upper and a DMPS lower. My brother's is a also a DPMS lower but I don't remember what type of upper. Both function well and are pretty accurate. I have not heard any complaints regarding their Bargain Big guns.

Did Santa visit your reloading room?

Santa delivered the ABC's of Reloading. Looks good. Being new to reloading I need all the help I can get. Only doing centerfire right now, 6.5x55 and 223 with mixed results. I am loving my new passion though. MERRY CHRISTMAS ho ho ho

My bolt won't go in! New Tikka

Merry Christmas Fellas I hate to say this but.... consult the owner's manual. Same thing happened to me two days ago. The manual that came with my t3 (9.5x55) addresses this in kind of a vague manner. I was amazed how easy it was after I figured it out. Good luck. OBTW, IMHO these are fine...

    Joke is on Me?

Thanks for all the information. It has proved valuable to me already. I did find some wolf primers but didnt order them yet based on some of the info passed on. Going to hit the next local gun show to see what is available. Also I will get over to my local range where they have all sorts of...

    Joke is on Me?

Midway is out as far as I can tell. What about Wolf primers? I have used their 6.5x55 and 7.62x39 ammo and was not impressed. It went bang but is pretty dirty. Are their primers ok? Are all primers the same? Thanks again for all the info, I appreciate it.

    Joke is on Me?

I love my Swede. Its not that new to me (m96/38 CG 1912) but I have been using commercial ammo, mostly Federal and Privi since I got it. Anyway, I thought it would be fun to load my own for my favorite rifle. Got the press, got the dies, I have the brass, got some manuals. BUT, I have been...

    Swedish Mauser Questions

Greetings all, I bought this Swede on Gunbroker and was surprised when it arrived. The barrel has the inscription "KBI INC HBG PA CAL 6.55 SWEDEN M/38" on it. At first, I thought someone had purchased a new barrel and installed it. But then, doing some research on this and other sites it...

10/22 WMR or the Henry 22WMR lever gun?

No comparison, I have both and the Henry can out shoot the 10/22 every time. I like both, but there is no comparison in accuracy. Actually, it's my wife's Henry.
