    Taurus 1911 Hammer Problems

It does have a trigger screw, however for the life of me, I can't figure out what head the screw takes. It resembles an allen head, but every one I've tried doesn't seem to fit. The safety lock thing was the very first thing I checked, as I initially suspected that might be the culprit (and...

    Taurus 1911 Hammer Problems

I picked up one of the Taurus PT1911s a few months ago and have been really pleased with it up until the last week or so. I lent it to a friend to take shooting, and while she had it, she called and told me that the hammer wasn't falling all the way. I was rather surprised, since it had been...

    Taurus PT-1911A1 Magazines

Great, thanks for the info. Zedhead, I was the proud owner of a Para-Ordnance SSP 1911 for about 22 hours (long story), and I think the Taurus is every bit the gun that the Para is, for substantially less money. The only thing I've changed about my Taurus is the grips, only because I think...

    Taurus PT-1911A1 Magazines

Just bought one of the Taurus 1911s a few weeks ago and I absolutely love the thing. It comes with two 8-round magazines, so it's not like I DESPERATELY need more, however I'd like to have six or seven laying about for a rainy or fall-outy day. I checked out a couple of my dad's surplus...

To keep or to sell ...

I guess for me, it'd come down to whether or not I want something else specifically more than I want to hold on to the Sig. Then I again, I don't exactly believe in selling any of my firearms in the first place :P

    WHo makes good Boots?

Second the Red Wings. Any of their Irish Setter boots are absolutely fantastic, plus most of them have the Goodyear welt so they can be resoled.

    M&P .40 Compact

The M&P doesn't *necessarily* require a takedown tool. I can get my fingers inside easily enough to manipulate the strut without using the little tool, but I would imagine it depends on the size of one's hands.

Hey all, I'm Zach. I'll be 22 in a few months, and I've been shooting since I was around 5. My first gift was a .22 LR Chipmunk bolt-action single shot that my dad bought for me the day I was born, so I've pretty much been surrounded by firearms my entire life. I really enjoy everything about...
