My take on the NRMA reloading bench

Ultimately I am looking for input that would help point out places to improve before spending the money. I am already taking into consideration the things you said earlier.

My take on the NRMA reloading bench

I have looked through a lot of show me threads. *My plan is based on the NRMA bench, but have a couple twists I needed to figure out with it. 1 I don't have the linear feet to build it to spec. 2 I have a water main shut off that protrudes from the wall to work around. Which also plays a part...

My take on the NRMA reloading bench

Since I don't have the space for the way it is designed, want to add a bench vise and have to put it in the corner, here is what I came up with. Hoping some of the wood working knowledge can help spot potential problems or improvements before I get into the build.

    Handgun Caliber Debate Question?

IMHO The debate rages based on 3 factors: 1) Marketing. Those selling need you to buy. That includes buying into the "best caliber available". 2) Those folks who are new to shooting. Like many, they are reading everything they can to find what is right for them. Since they do not know from...

    Blue Guns

How much is he charging per holster? If you are buying one or both blye guns it would seem to me the holster guy would split the cost since he will probably get future business of the same firearms.

    Land for personal shooting "range"

Hey Chuck, You are right about plans changing due to circumstances. If I do buy in the next couple of years, I could sell if the plans change and I do not end up going there. The goal is to have the land and house fit within the retirent so that it isn't as job dependent to be there. That's the...

    Land for personal shooting "range"

Delford, that is some beautiful land. Southern NC is on the list. Wife and I need to take a drive that way and check out the areas. We have been to Willmington once.

    Land for personal shooting "range"

South, Right now the top two states are NC and AZ. NC because of the taxes, AZ because of the gun laws. AZ has been ranked #1 for gun owners a couple years in a row now. NC is in the top 15. Think they are lower because of the shooting sports/public range numbers.

    Land for personal shooting "range"

McCoy, Funny story. I am a brown shoe, or will be when I wear the anchor. However, my rate is now of the black. I started in a squadron, went into my rate when it was in the brown... I'm brown lol

    Land for personal shooting "range"

I agree with what you are saying Buck. It isn't the primary consideration. It is an option based on the time I have to consider before doing it. A large part is because I am tired of being in areas that are restrictive due to either distance, regulation or expense. While Phoenix is what I call...

    Land for personal shooting "range"

When researching the land location, what is the zoning I should be looking at? I am certain commercial is out. I've looked at a couple county sheriff websites to try to find laws/regulations regarding that other information you have mentioned. I have not had a lot of luck. Any suggestions on...

    Land for personal shooting "range"

We are looking at NC since we already live here now and like it. Just trying to plan a few drives around the state to see what the rest is like. What area are you near?

    Land for personal shooting "range"

Hello, my wife and I are discussing where to settle down when I retire from the Navy. I am from AZ, she is from WA. We are currently in NC and I am stationed in VA. I am currently looking into states to retire to in 8yrs. The goal is to purchase land to either build on or use for a personal...

    just not right

Blame isn't the right word. Taking responsibility for my part is more along the lines. I know the difference between right and wrong. We don't carry because it is against the law. Police enforce that law because it is their job. Both of us are in an uncomfortable position. How do we change that...

    Bad Shoot or Bad Parent-ing???

The ignorance is overwhelming. Not just this situation, but it is a constant trend. Is what I am talking about. :banghead: I guess we have a lot of sharpshooters out there. People who can pick the wings off a fly at 100yrds with a snub nose .38! Get real, no better yet, get educated...

    just not right

Joab, since my post was in the group you mentioned, I do assume you directed this towards (not at) me. I do not take it as an attack, so please don't take this as one either. I never bashed LEOs. I stated the fact that all of us are tired of the laws that allow them to carry and denies the rest...

    just not right

Actually, that is wrong. It is a result of pisspoor participation in voting that has gotten us all here. His job doesn't give him the right, it allows him the privilage above the rest of us. It's the law makers that are stripping the rights of all and handing them out like gold stars to...
