    16-Year-Old Building Guns

as described above, a rivet masher, which is basically a modified bolt cutter (think lock cutter), a drill press, cutting oil/lube, drill bits, dremmel with cutting wheel, trigger guard rivet jig, a press, barrel press kit (should include the the piece to push out and then back in the front...

    16-Year-Old Building Guns

Ak builds can be done with a hammer, but a press and jigs go a long way in making it a less frustrating experience. Also, having someone around who has done it before goes a long way. If you can find a "build party," the knowledge gained there is invaluable. Or if you can find someone who has...

    Bump Fire Stock

Just got one in last week to play with. Shipping was fast, problem free. Ordered on Sunday, here by Thursday. Sent US mail. Instructions are easy to follow. Very simple and elegant design. Went out in blizzard and shot 70 rds through it. It works quite well. 3-4 round bursts very easy to...

    AR pistol build questions

Depends on what you are wanting to do with it. Fun range toy. Big muzzle blast. If for range toy, go short. If you actually want to do some precision long range shooting, go long.

Is your state ok hunting with a silencer?

In West Virginia it is legal. Finally got a game warden to accept that fact, but he was not happy with it.

Impulse buy, Beretta Storm Carbine, ???

I have one in 40. Very accurate. Mushy, heavy, long trigger. When you put a suppressor on it, it blows powder out the non ejecting side and onto your cheek, which is not pleasant. A piece of tape over it fixes that though.

    Question about Barrett 50

Very rare to find an over shot 50. Some have, but rare. So far as what to look for? Your wallet, a long distance range, a large supply of ammo, and some friends.

    Kel-Tec sub 2000 pros/cons?

Agree with above. Would add that the trigger is heavy and long. For the price, a nice gun. I for some reason fell in love with pistol cal carbines in 40. Have a High Point, Storm, Mech tech along with the sub 2k. I really enjoy them with a Gemtech Blackside.

    Any sound-suppressed Glocks?

I have a g22 with lonewolf extended barrel coupled with a Gemtech Blackside. Comes in 45 as well. In 40, pretty quiet. Eqivalent to dropping big phone book on floor from 5 ft up. Only downside, is sights are blocked by the suppressor.

Is it legal to sell reloaded ammunition?

It is alot like building a gun. You can build a gun for personal use without an ffl. However building a gun with the intent of selling it requires an ffl. However, if you build a gun for yourself and then decide you don't like it, or need the money to pay bills, whatever... you can sell it...

    1911 question

the "rampant colt" on the rear of the slide, without a circle around it, coupled with an inspection mark "GHS" puts it in the 1915-1918 era. Amazing gun if not for its faults.

    1911 question

Ok, Like I said, I do not have the gun. But have narrowed it down to 1915-1918 production. Has the "raging colt" on the left rear of the slide, not circled. Inspector mark GHS. That puts it about where I thought.

    1911 question

a removed serial number would make me far to nervous to posess such a gun, and I would never do such a thing due to it being illegal. However, a serial number would allow me to look it up and not go digging here. However, the story of being bought from the gov would not explain the scratches...

    1911 question

Ok, thank you for your replies, but if you knew what you were talking about, you wouldn't be asking. It is not an idiot mark, but was idiotic to do. I believe it is a 1918 from what I can tell. Full checkered grips. Left rear of slide has a horse on it. Rear top of slide above firing pin...
