Zero headspace means that the bolt will just barely close on a "go" or minimum headspace guage. The "no-go" guage is generly about 6 thou longer than the "go' guage.
Little headspace is great for some types of shooting like Benchrest. They don't have to full resize everytime (case life) and...
AR's are seen to be more accurate because an accurate one is easier to build than other semi-autos. Almost anyone can screw one together from quality components and have a shooter.
The design is superior for easy buitl accuracy. The free floating handguard and minimal interferance of the gas...
Mr. Watson speaks the truth. That is the exact mount you need. Any Redfield mount style iron sight will attach. Leupold quick release rings work well. I also use various rings that use a 3/8th inch socket to tighten, Leupold Mark 4.

If you will go to Alabama then why not drive up to Ft. Benning, Ga. We have 600 and 1000 yard matches. We will have a tripple 600 yard this weekend. Here is the web page: http://www.mindspring.com/~abodom/crc.htm
Port Malabar has a beautiful range. The web search I ran shows the...
I'm sorry, I must have missunderstood. Being that Warthog is from Finnland and is looking for world wide long range competition I thought he may be interested in F-Class.
By saying "They make up their rules as they go along" I mean that there is no national or international standard of...
USPSA and IDPA are not long range. CMP and Benchrest are not tactical. The afore mentioned disiplines are shot accross the contry and have established rules that can be down loaded off the web. There is no "tactical" game I know of that is shot nation wide. All the tactical matches I've seen...
Why not try F-Class competition? It is shot all over the world.
One good place to start is Long-Range.com: http://www.long-range.com/
You have to sign up to get to the forums but the information is worth it.
Also, the NRA UK site has information on F-Class: http://www.nra.org.uk/...
The Sendero is a very good rifle. My brother has one in 300 Win Mag. It shoots right at 1/2 inch 5 shot groups at 100 yards. We have not yet tested it at longer yardages.
The secret is to JB the hell out of the barrel. The factory barrels are rough as a corn cob. Wear out at least 4 patches...
You get what you pay for with these things. The cheapos will not feed relialibly and will drive you nuts.
Frank White makes the best out there, but they are not cheap. He will build one on your barrel if you have an extra. http://www.compasslake.com/22uppers.htm
I have no affiliation what...

Champions Choice sells a spray grip. It was called Hawkeye back in the day. The problem is all spray goop gets slippery as snot when it gets wet. Rainy weather is a problem.
Precision Shooting and Shooting Sports are the only mags I read. Both are subscription only.
Precision Shooting is written by shooters for shooters. It comes in a plain white envelope for the discerning reader. Shooting Sports is a NRA publication for competitive shooters.
