SAF-T-Wesson
"It interesting to note that while the risk of a case head failure with today’s brass is very small, they have deleted this potential safety feature as a cost cutting measure while implementing the politically correct inside lock which in actuality creates a potential hazard."...
I'll admit I actually liked this model in it's raw form, but hanging anything off of it is truly laughable. S&W's marketing department is in overdrive with the gimmicks their dreaming up.
I do like the other blacked out revolvers like the 625, 45 Colt Model with the 5 inch barrel.
I would...
Well, I had to buy the boxed set because I'm a movie buff and thought it was a true classic. I admittedly was into firearms before having any interest in the Dirty Harry movies. You're right, the quotes are just tough to beat! Thanks for sharing them GUNKWAZY! For anyone who hasn't seen it, go...
Why I don't buy one? Because I can....(and because I know it's a rediculous marketing gimmick!)
An old fisherman in a sporting goods store once told me that very few lures actually catch fish, the rest are designed to catch fisherman!
I have the same issue with my 650....
BUT it's happening ONLY when I reload 44 mag, and coincidentally, I use Unique for 44 Mag.
My leakage happens every 5 or so rounds, on the up stroke as the powder bar is retracting AND the case mouth has left the end of the powder funnel on it's way to...
44 vs 45 ?
There is no significant difference for any of the catagories you have listed. 44Mag would be an advantage if you do NOT reload though.
45 Colt or 44 Mag

What are the pros and cons of both. Will...

Excellent point Jim,
To do that to a Ruger ends up costing more than a FA to begin with. I can't understand why someone would pay for this in a Ruger? Seems like a waste, just to shoot a .480 or .500 of some sort.
Back to the original post, FA revolvers are the finest...
You'kll get no argument from me on the comfort of the SRH. It would seem like a perfect platform for the 454 Casull. That is the target grey model correct? What barrel length is the 454? can you fire 45 Colts in that gun or do they advise against it?? I know the Freedom Arms people do not...
I could never warm up to the Super Red, mostrly because it always looked like a GP100 with a tube screwed into it for some extra bbl length? Heck of a nice gun otherwise.

BlkHwk73,
I'll clarify my statement for the "context challenged." When I said "manufacturers" I was referring to GUN manufacturers. Your argument about medicinal/toy labeling doesn't really apply because last time I checked that wasn't covered in the Bill of Rights or...
I 100% agree Old Dog. That is my opinion as well...
I know where you're coming from Elmer and can appreciate supporting manufacturers to ensure they continue to exist BUT this is economics too....and consumers reserve the right to NOT buy something they don't agree with. This goes for barrel...
Definitely a HK USP...
I just called Clint and he confirmed it.

(I am going to use that ???? from Shinola line all the time now! That was a real KNEE SLAPPER!)
Will the Madness ever end?

DO NOT THROW GUN INTO THE AIR AND CATCH IT IF LOADED AND THE HAMMER IS COCKED.
