I'm looking for a better gun belt that doesn't use buckle holes and is infinitely adjustable. I want something that looks like a normal belt. Does such a thing exist?
And it has nothing to do with their usefulness or whether they may get clicked on during concealed carry.
I hate them because they are a royal pain to disassemble. Yikes! It took a lot of time and a fair amount of effort to remove the ambi safety on my Taurus 1911 this evening. (I was...
So I'm in one of our local gunshops on Friday. I have some cash in my pocket as I was planning on picking up a case of ammo. As per my usual practice, I take a look at the used guns that they have on display.
"Hmm...is that a Marlin Camp 9 I see on the wall?"
"Actually," says the gunshop...
I do most of my shooting at a couple of indoor ranges here in the Seattle area. Neither of these ranges allow one to shoot birdshot; buckshot and slugs are the only rounds permitted.
Unfortunately, shooting a lot of buckshot in an indoor range is pretty hard on both the ears and the shoulders...
Hello! I need some advice on my a Marlin/Glenfield 60. Any Marlin experts out there?
I recently picked up an used Marlin/Glenfield 60. This is one of the older models with the 18-round magazine and the squirrel stock. Overall, the gun is in great condition, but I’ve been having some problems...
One of our local gun forums has a Marlin Camp 45 for sale. These particular models are fairly rare, and are therefore a bit on the pricey side. (Currently asking $700.) I've read most of the discussions about the advantages/disadvantages of using 9mm ammo in a carbine. But what about a .45...
Got a question for you Ruger 10/22 fans out there: If you had the chance to buy a excellent condition older model 10/22 with the metal trigger guard, would you buy it instead of a new one? If the answer is yes, would you actually pay MORE for the older model than the new one?
One of our local...
I'm looking for a new carry gun. Anyone here own a lightweight 9mm 1911? Are you happy with it?
As far as my the other guns in my collection, I already have a couple of pocket handguns (P3AT and S&W 442) for those times when pocket carry is the best option. My main range/HD gun is a CZ 75B. I...
This morning, I picked up an older Ruger 10/22 that has an older Bushnell scope on it. The scope is marked "3x-7x custom .22" and is one of their "Rangemaster" models. It looks just like this one:
The view through the scope is actually pretty clear. I took the rifle down to my usual indoor...
I have a question about felt recoil: Why would two pistols that weight the same and fit essentially the same in my hand feel significantly different when shooting the same ammo?
Last night at the range, I was shooting a CZ 75B and an RIA 9mm 1911. I was shooting the same ammo in each (115 g...
Been shooting handguns for several years and have started looking to expand my horizons a bit. I am looking to buy a nice, but not super-high-end .22 rifle for target-shooting. I've been a big fan of the Ruger 10/22 ever since I was a kid and am leaning to towards getting one of those. However...
Question for someone who has a Ruger Security/Service Six with Badger grips: Is the backstrap exposed on these grips? Or does the wood cover the backstrap?
Thanks in advance for the info.

Just picked up a Remington 870 Wingmaster this afternoon. I've been shooting handguns for several years, but this is my first shotgun. I bought it used from a local gun shop and I'm heading off to the range (indoor) after dinner. It came with a 20" barrel with a fixed choke with rifle sights...
I'm considering purchasing a used Mini-14 and was wondering: What year did Ruger change to the heavier barrel? Were there any other significant design changes that are worth holding out for?
Thanks.

Just curious what others here thought about a gun that I spotted this afternoon at a local gun shop:
The gun is a commander-sized 1911 with a blued Colt slide on a no-name frame. Judging by its weight, the frame appears to be an alloy frame. The slide and component fit well; there was no...
Just curious: I picked up a 4" GP100 in the blued finish from a local shooter. He was the original owner. The gun has standard (non-adjustable) sights and has what appears to be the smaller sized grip.
I was under the impression that the 4" models had adjustable sights and the larger sized...
I have small hands. Most of the handguns that I own have are small enough that I can easily reach the trigger and still maintain a straight alignment from my elbow to my wrist to the barrel tip. (I hope that made sense.) However, I have one gun, a CZ P-01, that is just big enough that I can’t...
I have a question for you revolver experts out there: Is there a significant difference in the noise and recoil when shooting a .357 round from a 3" barrel vs. a 2" barrel?
I am looking to get another Ruger SP101, (I foolishly sold my other one,) and I'm not sure which barrel length I'm going...
I just acquired my first 1911 via trade with a local shooter. The 1911 is a Springfield Armory Mil-Spec model in the parkerized finish. I haven’t yet been able to shoot it, but I love how heavy and solid it feels. My other full-size handgun is a stainless CZ 75B. I always thought of the CZ as...
Just wondering: Anyone carry a revolver with target sights in an IWB holster? Does the sharp-edged rear sight cause problems when drawing? Or does it not really matter?
Thanks.
