Thanks for the heads up people. I'll keep my order with Roze Dist. Like most other reloading components I'll end up forgetting about the order several weeks from now. If and when they do contact me it'll be a nice surprise. For now, I ended up getting 2000 nosler 158g JHP handgun sporting...
I found the bullets at Roze Distribution. The home page says they are 4-6 weeks behind on orders, but allowed me to add bullets to cart without any "out of stock" messages. I placed the order and the website gave me an order number. I guess we'll see.
I'm trying to load up some 357 magnum loads using H110 and wolf small magnum primers. I'm having a hard time finding jacketed bullets in the 158g flavor. Zero bullets sells a "38 special (.357 diameter) 158g JSP." Is this bullet fine for full power magnum loads? Thanks in advance.
I have had my 650xl for many years now. When I placed my first order, I was very conservative on getting only what I needed to start reloading 45acp. I wanted to load other calibers but at that time I didn't want to figure out all the accessories needed to change calibers. I even skimped on...
I have a couple 44 magnum revolvers. A 629-6 classic 6.5". A 629-3 classic 5". A Colt Anaconda 4". I love all three revolvers, but my favorite shooter would the the 629 6.5". I bought this firearm recently and so it has the MIM parts and safety lock (some people don't care for these...
dillon xl650 with casefeeder would be my vote. With cases prepped, loading 500 cases will take approximately 45 minutes. You can then shoot, hang out with family or whatever for the rest of the month.
For awhile I was checking their site everyday to see if primers were in stock but no luck. So recently I placed a large backorder for just primers. It's pretty sad that I get all excited just to be on a backorder log.
Unless you're his wife, let him make his own decision. 45acp is a wonderful caliber. My first handgun was a HK40. I shoot it ok, but do much better with my 45s.
BTW, even my wife doesn't tell me what to buy with my gun money. She told me to buy a larger safe for all the future guns I will...

"Assault-weapons have no other purpose but to kill"
Yeah, that paper target really screamed and yelped.
I have the 1200 autotumbler. I like it a lot. So far I haven't had any problems with it. 4 years strong. Quiet operation. My dog bit up the rubber lock nut for the top cover. One call to lyman and a new rubber nut was in my mailbox 1 week later, free of charge. The autosifter is pretty...
I beg to differ. I would say I make considerably more than that (trying to make a point here, not to brag) and it is well worth it for me to reload. It's an entirely unique hobby to me. The ability to make accurate/precise ammunition to your exact specifications is amazing. It's even more...
I know this is off topic, but the BATFE would have a field day auditing all the people selling primers on gunbroker who are not going through the proper hazmat route.
Quite honestly, I'm not as accurate as a lot of shooters here. I'll try going further (15y and 25y) when I get a bag rest.
Thanks for everyones advice. I'm heading to the indoor range today to try out the 20.0g 2400 loads and report back tonight.
I was a little hesitant, but I finally shot some of my first reloads. I've been reloading 45acp for awhile and am so use to using 4.0g of clays. Now filling up 44mag brass with 19-20g of 2400 seems like a lot of powder, relatively.
I made 2 batches:
- once fired walmart 44mag brass...
I checked the dillon die set. It doesn't specify whether it's a roll or taper crimp die. It just says "dillon 44 mag crimp die" I guess I should be able to tell what it looks like once I start making some rounds.
Just went on dillon's site. For pistol dies, they use "taper" crimp dies for...
