once again i find may self asking the gun gurus another dumb question.
What is the frame size for the colt lawman MKIII (its my grandfather's service revolver) the grips are cracked and I have not been able to find decent grips for it that are close to the size of the original...
updates????? plz, iv'e been following since the start im hooked. did the dumb one do any more dumb stuff, did the alpha dog kill him self yet plz i need my fix.
crazy prices are due to crazy government doing the very crazy thing of all most purposly hyper inflating the dollar to almost valueless conditions. would not be so bad if the same government did not commit constitutional felony when they killed the gold backing of the dollar.

thank you for your advise but after letting it sit a little longer it just started to work perhaps it "just needed a rest" but who knows. i love the damn thing and got scared.
I'm sure some of you guys have had some experience with this great gadget.
but i'm having problems with mine. today i let it sit turned on for about 6hours beofre i got back to reloading (read as forgot to turn it off while working) then i when back to loading and it worked fine for about 5-6...

i know how you feel, i have some strippers for my m38 (same as your but no pig sticker) and the stripper clips took longer to load then loading one by one. i don't know if its just me but i cant seem to get them to work at all, how ever it does allow you to grab the 5 rounds the rifle takes...
Hey guys. I shot in my first high power m1 garan/ corious&relics comp today and had my rear end handed to me. To pu it in perspective, i shoot 3in groups @ 200yrd with my m38 using rusky mil surp heavy ball ammo thats bench rest.
the comp was not bench rest :( .

be careful with that statement, they might not get prosecuted but will certainly have lots of court time and expenses $$$$. which is probably why many of us law abiding citizens don't go around shooting at every LEGAL opportunity.
if you carry an alternate form of protection treat it...
just FYI i have not loaded these yet as i do not feel like messing up the rifle that was given to me at birth, or sitting in a hospital from a catastrophic failure.

ok heres the story.
recently i pulled the bullets out of some old wolf 7.62x39 and i wanted to load them for my .30-30 as i thought that the nato designation of 7.62 was .30 cal and that th e .30-30 was the same.
now before you go saying never load pointed bullets in a tube mag, i know...

depends, i reload for my marlin 336, depending on the mood im in i will either do one or the other. WARNING clearly mark which is which though.
if you neck sizing only you should not (read as don't) use them in the mag well, shoot them as a single shot loaded right into the chamber...
its soft, it malleable, it can be hardened with antimony, low meltpoint similar to lead.
I was just playing around with some really old pewter toys and realized that "hey this stuff is very similar to lead".
so the question would be would pewter be a viable alternative to lead in...
